Ontario Women's Hockey Association

Our team was in the Provincials in Toronto but you wouldn’t know it. It could have been any more Normal weekend game. No signage, no swag, old arenas, volunteers who didn’t seem very interested. They claim nothing was done due to Covid restrictions which have been lifted already. They couldn’t even be bothered to have a table wrap with the OWHA logo just a card table with the same box of triscket crackers for 3 days. If you went to the OMHA for the boys you would see a glaring difference, signage, swag to buy and an exciting environment with music and more. I guess the girls don’t deserve the same respect as the boys. Do better OWHA…..not acceptable

We were at the provincials this year again and it is a complete disgrace to women’s hockey. You guys should be ashamed of the effort that is put in to make this event the showpiece it should be. There’s no music no welcome banner’s nothing at all like the omha does for the boys! Our medal presentation was a box handed to the coach to pass out. Same thing last year. If You want to empower these young female athletes and make them feel equal you sure have a weird way of doing it. Put some effort in. Maybe go to the boys events and take some notes. You guys need to take a hard look at who’s doing what for our girls there and fix it. It’s disgusting that this can’t be recognized and improved.

Nobody answers the phone and nobody replies to your email. Errors are made on game sheets and no one is interested in making corrections. Not minor errors, major errors that affect more than one player, game suspensions included. Disgraceful.

this is by far the worst organization that I ever coached for. So disorganized, and an extreme lack of communication. Wish I could give 0 stars.
