If I could give a negative stars I would. The food was gross. Frozen, cheap quality and tiny portions. The service was horrible. Im furious that we spent over $60 on this garbage meal.

You are warned on the menu: this is NOT a fast food place. And it's all for the better. You just sip your local beer as your clams, scallops and French fries are prepared. And then, it's a feast. Very pleasant staff and reasonable prices. The freshness of the ingredients is everything.

Great food at very reasonable prices. I consider this a roadside dinner so don't expect great decor, although there are some nice paintings on the wall that are for sale. Service was good but we were there when it was fairly busy so I think our waitress was a little overwhelmed. Seafood chowder, burgers, fried clams and scallops all a hit with everyones at our table.

Took my elderly mother for lunch as we were out for the day. Service is quick but when we informed Katie that we had a last minute addition to our group that would arrive later, she informed us that the policy is to not seat a group until all had arrived in order to facilitate turn-over. We weren't asked to wait until everyone arrived as we were already seated. Fair enough, it is a business after all but they don't have a waiting area so if we had been asked to wait, we would have gone elsewhere. I was also saddened that they don't allow seniors to purchase from the children's menu. Many seniors don't have the capacity to eat a full meal even if it is the small" portion. I know from personal experience

We were in Mahone Bay for the day, and wanted to try somewhere new to eat. We found this place on Google Maps (imagine! Ha!), and with over 300 reviews and above 4.5 we figured it was a safe bet - and we were right! It is a small town diner at its finest. If you're looking for fancy things and high prices - this isn't the right place for you. But if you like home cooked food, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious coconut cream pie in a completely unassuming spot on the side of the highway - Blarney Stone's got you! My husband had the donair burger and didn't say a word the whole time he was eating it (that says a lot). He asked for some hot sauce on the side, and said theirs was so good - he literally ate it till the last drop! He got it as a platter which included fries and coleslaw and we ended up bringing over half the fries home it was such a generous portion. I had the chicken burger with onion rings. The burger itself was very delicious! Proper chicken too which I appreciate. I did ask for some wing sauce on the side - which was on our bill. I am happy to pay for extras but its always nice to know first if there's a cost associated with it. I can tell they keep their fryer oil clean which is so, so important. Their coconut cream pie easily ranks in my top 5. (I have it everywhere I go so that is a significant compliment, ha!). We will definitely be back - hour drive and all.

Plain looking in the outside with good old-fashioned hospitality on the inside. Great food, good portions and fair prices. There's also a large parking lot that can accomodate trailers and campers.

Love this place. We drop in here every time we drive by. There are always tons of cars in the parking lot. A good sign for any restaurant. The staff is very friendly and have been working here for ages. The food is fantastic, basic fair, with huge portions.
