Journey Property Inspections

My husband and I had Travis inspect a property that we had made an offer on and will be closing on soon. Inspections can be overwhelming and scary, but Travis did a great job on being thorough, explaining things, backing up his opinion with facts and looking extra carefully at the things we were concerned with about the house. They have great follow up after scheduling the appointment too. I would definitely recommend Journey Property Inspections!

Steve and Travis completed a detailed inspection of my pending home purchase. They explained in simple terms what items I should be aware of and were happy to answer questions that I had. Steve took extra time to help me understand how a septic tank and drain field are different from a sewer and how I should take care of them. The inspection report I received was incredibly detailed and helped me decide what I should ask the seller to fix before I purchase the home. I highly recomend JPI to anyone needing a new home inspection.

We had a wonderful experience with Travis. He was so knowledgeable and detailed in his inspection and explanations. We were having a home inspection conducted on a home that we were going to buy. As a first time homebuyer, everything I saw looked great. Of course I saw a few things I knew would need to be replaced or updated, but after reading our report, quickly realized why there are professionals that do this for a living! Don’t let the costs deter you from having a home inspection done. Travis saved us thousands of dollars by bringing numerous concerns/issues to our attention that we never would have noticed before closing on the house had we not had the inspection done. Overwhelmingly positive experience!I was going to try another home inspection company for my first time home purchase, but I wasn't thrilled with their indifference toward me and my concerns. They just didn't have much to offer, and their attitude about it was basic.I instantly noticed the difference when I called Journey and spoke with Emily, and my experience with them since has been very positive. I tacked on the sewer scope, and I'm glad I did. Tim Decker found that the pipe had collapsed, which was critical information that helped me in my home buying decisions. He answered all my questions and was super friendly (if a bit tired) .Journey's services are far better than the other companies recommended to me by my realtor, and I'm so glad I chose Journey.

Anton and Emily were great. A+++. Very knowledgeable and personable. I loved that they communicated major issues they found while at the actual property. Another company I dealt with didn’t communicate at the time of the inspection and you just received the report. There were no surprises when we received this report and I really appreciated that. My only regret is not using them before for a previous inspection for my daughters home! I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a home inspection.

I had a really good experience with Travis doing an inspection. He was very good at what he did, he really inspected EVERYTHING, Which is what you want an inspector for but those stories about bad inspectors certainly do not come from this crew. I was pleasantly surprised to get a book on how to maintain your home and several warrantees with the inspection, such as a non-leak warranty on the roof a structural warranty etc. they also have a lifetime appliance recall program they offer that you can also add new appliances to in the future.All in all I was very happy with the services that they provided and the inspection. Travis was nice, friendly, and professional. I would definitely use him in the future or recommend this company.5 stars

Anton and Emily were great! They were prompt, knowledgeable, and explained what they found, both plusses and minuses, and answered all my questions. This is the 3rd time I've used JPI. I highly recommend them!

Travis is by far one of the most thorough inspectors I have worked with. He checked in with us numerous times during the inspection to see if we had any questions or concerns. Everything was explained in detail and never rushed us with explanations. He explains things in a way that a normal Jeff like myself could understand and respond to. We appreciate the way he made us feel at ease during our inspection. Would highly recommend JPI and Travis.

First time home buyers- we chose Journey due to their good rating. The things that come to mind that were issues were that we were told our septic and well were in a specific place in our yard and it turns out after several hours of looking for records and talking to people that both are located in our neighbor's yard. Which also means that nothing was checked out on them; this was before they took septic and well inspections off their list of things inspected. Our roof is not in as good as condition as we were led to believe and we'll be needing a new one within the first year of living in our home. I'm giving 2 stars because Steve did make an effort to come out and help look for the septic tank a few times but ultimately we haven't heard back from him after he said he'd do more research and see what he could find out about our property.Edit- turns out we need a new well also. We have very little water pressure and it takes two sessions to fill our bathtub, we arent able to use a sprinkle or run more than one thing at a time like the dishwasher, shower, and washer. Choose your inspection company wisely, we wish we did.
