Love this place. So many Japanese items. Reminds me of Daiso in Japan, where I've lived for 5 years and have visited over 10 other times so I'm very familiar with real Japanese and pretend Japanese items. I'm shocked Winnipeg even got one of these stores, let alone 2. And, St James having an authentic Japanese style department store Cafe, it's our little piece of Tokyo life in this frozen tundra. Check it out. It's ultra clean, organized and so tidy. This is how retail is in Japan. Selection is great, prices too. We're lucky to have this here.

Oomomo Cafe is open again. They had closed down for most of the pandemic. I hear their rice dishes are okay. It's right by the entrance. Their ice cream is good. They have small parfaits for about $4-$5, and Crepes for about $6-$8, and a few hot meals for about $17. Their crepes are soft and are not filled very much, but they taste good with the little toppings they do add. Nice atmosphere, seems clean. Seating isn't very comfortable. Washrooms are hidden in the middle section of the very back wall of the store. They do not accept/give the store membership points card. But do take credit, debt and cash.

This store is completely cute and everything kawaii! ^_^ You can find everything from Japanese kitchen stuff, to hygiene stuff, bathroom supplies & home organizers, stationary, decor, & snacks! Most items are $3 & final sale, so like a more expensive dollar store, but cuter! There is also an indoor cafe.

This place is HUGE.It is far more extensive than the St Vital store, in all ways. You will find an assortment of Japanese snacks, housewares, skincare supplies, gifts, etc.The cafe is fine for a quick drink or snack, but don't expect the Japanese equivalent of the Ikea cafe - the menu is small and the kitchen is pretty limited.

Oomomo was an incredible experience. They have it all.From day to day living, useful tools, housewares, and incredible snacks.My wife and I came here to get rice seasoning and specific spices that Oomomo happens to import.I, of course, got lost searching for all the Pokemon stuff I could find. While it was all snacks, they were exclusive to Japan and super hard to get here.Oomomo is just as much an experience as it is to shop, its worth a visit to see their unique wares and meet their super friendly staff

Great place to shop for asian household goods and snacks. I would give the shopping area 5 stars. Minus 1 star for the cafe. I ordered 4 crepes and 2 drinks. They didn't let the crepes cool down first after making them so they were sticking to the paper holder they came with. I had a bunch of paper stuck to my crepe. Also the sauce kept dripping out. It was very messy to eat.

We've spent 10 days vacationing in Winnipeg. My wife has had us go here 4x for long periods. She still hasn't seen everything.This place is awesome. Hit up the cafe and then browse aisle upon aisle of interesting items you won't find anywhere else.Pretty sure at this point that one of our checked luggages is going to be almost entirely Oomomo items.

Some things can be a bit pricey compared to buying snacks or things online but it is a really cute store with many options if you're interested in Japanese accessories, characters, food, and kitchen stuff! Great that there is one in Winnipeg!

It felt like being in Japan. I may end up strolling the isles for a few hours next time and buying a whole bunch of things... well more than what I got this time. Store was clean and areas are well labeled. A lot of Items would be perfect to gift as presents.
