Hello this review is for the team at Burnaby Family Dental. I have been a patient there for over 20 years and have the highest regards for Dr O’Brien who has been looking after me since Dr Skolaude retired who was also the utmost professional in his field. Dr O’Brien has performed many procedures for me from fillings to crowns to bridges and I am oh so pleased with the results. All procedures have gone smoothly and painlessly. Dr O’Brien is a pleasure to deal with, is a consummate professional and I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of dental work. The managing/reception team of Lynda and Samantha are also a pleasure to deal with and always take care of all the necessary paperwork required for insurance claims. My husband has been a longtime patient at Burnaby Family Dental and I joined him when my dentist retired. Dr. O'Brien and his team are extremely professesional and any workplan is fully explained beforehand. Dr. O'Brien is very personable and has an exceptional chairside manner. From the greeting when I first enter to the well wishes when I leave I'm always made to feel that I matter. Just need to add that Dr. O'Brien has given me a smile that I've waited for most of my life and that in itself deserves 5 stars.MJ

Have been coming here for quite a few years, first with Dr Peter Skolaude, then his daughter, and now with Dr O'Brien and have never had a bad experience. Dr O'Brien is very kind and attentive and always explains what's going on. He doesn't push unnecessary work, but when something needs to be done, he goes out of his way to get it done as quickly as possible, or refers you to the right specialist. The receptionist and hygienists are great and friendly as well.I had moved away, but am now back in the lower mainland, and while we are about a 30 minute drive away, I plan to continue coming here, and frankly, I'm almost looking forward to it.

My two year old fell and hit his face on a Saturday. I called Burnaby Family Dental, although we are not their patients, they got us in within two hours. My two year old received excellent care. Excellent service and care, we will be back.

Needed a root canal just as COVID was peaking and Burnaby Family Dental were closed. Doctor O'Brien called me and organized antibiotics and had them within an hour. Tooth was fine until they opened again. Called me as soon as open and got in right away. Was so worried due to all the root canal stories of pain. Very little pain, explained everything through the process, felt very comfortable. Didn’t take any pain killers and actually started using the tooth the next day. Very pleasant staff and Dr. Mike O’Brien is an excellent doctor. Highly recommended. Check out the cool pic of the tooth.

I have been coming here since I've had teeth! First with Dr. Peter Skolauda, and now with Dr. O'Brien. Dr. O'Brien did an amazing job with my invisalign, he made the process so smooth and I am beyond happy with the results. I have a busy schedule and the front desk staff have always been so great at finding a time that works for me. They truly go above and beyond. I highly recommend!

My mother-in law, my wife & I had a long morning appointment with Dr O'Brien, Burnaby Family Dental today (Feb 1, 2018).Linda, the Secretary was exceptionally well-organised and very friendly when we arrived. Kathy, the hygienist was very patient and took one and half hour to clean my mother-in-law's teeth after 3 years of neglect. She took time to emphasize the importance of keeping healthy teeth. Dr O'Brien was wonderful. He was very humble, introduced himself to my family as Mike". It made all of us feel at ease and not thinking of seeing a dentist but a friend. From regular cleanings to more specialized treatments, I cannot say enough good things about my experiences. Dr. O'Brien just completed my dental implant and it looks amazing. I was referred to the clinic/Dr. O'Brien by a work colleague and I wasn't disappointed. I was in need of work done quickly due to a move out of province. Dr. O'Brien and his team were incredible to make it all happen within the time frame. Everyone was so kind and understanding and most of all honest. Dr. O'Brien provided me options and helped me make the best decision. Again I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. When I return to BC I won't be going anywhere else for my dental needs.

I've been going to Burnaby Family Dental for regular checkups, cleanings, and fillings since I had teeth. I have always had a great experience being a patient there. Recently, I went to Dr. O'Brien for porcelain veneers on two of my front teeth. I had such a great experience during the process, as Dr. O'Brien is professional, gentle, and is a perfectionist when it comes to cosmetic changes to a smile. The final result was better than I could have ever expected, and I am so happy with my new smile. I would highly recommend Burnaby Family Dental for regular dentist visits, and now I would also highly recommend them for cosmetic dentistry!
