Taverne Les Torchés
Visited twice in early October 2017. Very impressed by the food, service and the eccentric music mix (especially in the afternoon). Went for lunch and returned for supper a few days later while in the neighborhood. Not exactly the same menu, but all very good and well presented. Don't expect miracles, this place is a nice neighborhood tavern with a friendly atmosphere and good comfort food.

Friendly staff, good prices and the cocktails were well done. I highly recommend the Brazil mule!The patio was perfect to just enjoy the few drinks we ordered while out in the sun.

The place from outdoor seemed promising! Unfortunately the music was a bit out of date for my liking and the staff was completely incompetent. It took close to an hour to get 3shots and a redbull, when the place wasn’t even full yet considering it was still early in the night (9;30-10pm), and we were sitting right at the bar in front of the barmaids. They made mistakes on the bill and charged us the price for drinks instead of shots. When we mentioned it they didn’t offer to change it or help in whatsoever way, they seemed completely disinterested. We were so fed up with waiting we ended up just leaving. I work in the service industry and I know it can be a hard job.. but there was no excuse for this. I really hope they find better staff, better trained and with better attitudes (smiles are always a plus!) because the place is cute. It’s unfortunate that this is the image we are left with.

1 star is too much for the experience last night (12am). I asked for an old fashion after waiting around 15 min for it they gave me this judge it by yourself. the « barman » had an arrogant attitude and he and the waitress (who was kind enough) were high while on service. I don’t recommend going there, old fashioned costed 13 bucks what a waste. Hope they change staff for such a nice place to drink.

One star for the decor and atmosphere. The rest was a total disaster. To start, they were out of half of their beers and had no amaretto. Cocktails were pathetically sugary and weak. ALL the food came out cold - two burgers, two Ruben sandwiches and nachos which were completely stale and their cheese had a rubbery, old texture. Sent the burgers back, they came back with the same burgers just warmed up presumably in a microwave - rather than making fresh ones! Waiter was dopey and slow. Bill came to $40-50 per person. Avoid like the plague.

Great joint. Visited on a Friday evening and had a great time.Comfy interior with a decent menu ranging from bar snacks to burgers.Music ranged from classic rock and Alt tracks early on; Aerosmith, The Doors, RHCPs, etc, and seemed to swap to more current stuff around 10-ish.Definitely adding to my pub rotation list.
