I've been going to this Longo's since I moved to the area over 10 years ago. It used to be exceptional. But, lately it seems to be on a rather quick, solid slide downwards.The prices on many items in the past six months have increased into the territory of the ludicrous. At the same time, the quality and freshness of the products and quality of service seems to be decreasing.The introduction of self serve checkouts is the last straw for me. Now, most of the staffed checkouts are closed and there is an obvious push to force customers through the self checkouts.I don't pay Long's prices to check myself out. I think the store has seriously misunderstood its customer base and its market positioning to think that self checkouts in Longo's are acceptable.I am now finding myself making a conscious effort to go to Walmart and Costco instead. IMO, If Longo's can't deliver on quality and service, the prices simply can't be justified.

This Longos has good location with variety of goods, veges, fruits, meat, bakery is always fresh. No doubt on quality at all. Also, the place is clean and organized, good shopping experience. Not sure if it is because of covid, my recent few visits found that the price on many goods has risen quite significantly. Hope it will come back to normal soon.

I love this supermarket. Meat are very fresh. I love the French pork rib chop. Easy to cook and super yummy. I also like to buy the fast fry striploin steak. It’s easy to cook. My little one loves the Kawartha ice cream. There are lots of flavours to choose at longos.

Always an exciting time for me when I realized one of my sales meetings is going to be close to Longo's. All I can say is a salad bar lunch is awesome. Always a wonderful selection fresh and well prepared.

Extremely disappointed to see the removal of cashier operated checkouts and the addition of self checkout stations. I have always gone to Longos because of the ability to get in and out quickly with exactly what I need. I was happy to pay a little more for the excellent service of fast and well staffed checkout lanes. I don't want more work at the end of a long day, especially unpaid work. Sorry to see that so many of the friendly and knowledgable cashiers are gone. I might as well go to Walmart if I have to use self checkout, the prices are cheaper.

Not sure where the rating of 4.4 comes from..but overpriced is more the word. Their frozen meat tastes strange, their prices are high (particularly produce), and their rotisserie chicken is gamey tasting. I used to come to buy the rotisserie chicken weekly. Last time I purchased it (March 2023), I open the plastic container to get this disgusting gamey smell. Which suggests to me that either #1) Whoever COOKED it, put it in the container raw first, cooked it, and placed it back in same plastic container OR #2) It has been under the warmer for a number of hours and is not fresh. I had to take it out at home and re-heat it. For 12.99...it was gross and definitely not buying again.

I love Longos. I have no empirical proof but I bet they train their staff a lot better than Others. I notice it. I love that they have items that Loblaws doesn't. E.g. Astro single serve yogurt (175 g). Their meal kits are better too.

I’m so disappointed in the bakery team, I asked for my cake to say “Congratulations Alex” and you can see for yourself what they wrote. If I’m trusting them with designing a special cake like that, I’m expecting it to be correct, it takes 2 seconds to google the spelling. It already looked like it was redone as there’s red icing smears all over. Do better Longos.

The employees are great and they help me check out easily every time, I just wish the manager wouldn't yell at them as much. I saw him belittling one of the employees in the bakery, and I saw her crying afterwards. Overall, witnessing the experience was awful. If the manager wanted to talk to his employee, he should've done so nicely with respect, instead of yelling at her infront of the customers. This man does not seem cut out to be the manager.
