Chartwell Imperial Place Retirement Residence

Our 91 year old Mom has been in Chartwell's for a month now and seems to be adjusting quite well. The staff are very friendly, helpful and always ready to lend a hand. Mom says the food is very good and that there is lots of variety. There are many programs that she can participate in. Including bus outings and her favorite, Bingo twice a week. The Sliziak family.

Clean, friendly and fun is how I would describe Chartwell. The residents always seem very happy and pleasant. They are always cracking jokes and saying Hi. Rodney is amazing, if you have any questions or concerns he is your guy. The landscapers that maintain the grounds are really good. They keep the place looking crisp and clean and have no problem taking some time out of their day for a quick chit chat.

What a terrific, warm and welcoming place Chartwell Imperial Place is! Our mom is a new resident and has settled in and feels safe with the friendly, caring and fabulous staff. Her unit is fresh and modern with a kitchenette perfect for late night tea and toast. The care aides are kind and caring and treat her with the utmost respect. Mom loves the food and the daily activities and she is slowly making friends. She even joined the choir and especially likes the live entertainment. Thank you Chartwell for taking such good care of our mom.

Absolutely thrilled to be staying in my mom’s suite here at Chartwell Imperial Place. Wonderful to see her interacting with other residents, all of whom have been extremely welcoming and pleasant! My experiences in the dining hall have been fantastic; the food is excellent and the servers are extremely kind and attentive to the needs of their residents. The food is homemade, and there is always an alternative option should someone not wish to choose the meal on the menu. I don’t see how the dining experience could be better.I will fly home next week with peace of mind, knowing that my mom is very well looked after and content.Thank-you Nicola and Delia for making my stay possible. I recently had the opportunity to stay several days with a friend at Chartwell Imperial Place Retirement Residence in Surrey, BC. The experience left me with positive impressions: Upon arrival, the staff were genial and helpful, the facility was clean and well appointed, and the larger than expected size of my friend's apartment was a pleasant revelation. The meals, served by efficient staff, were varied, well balanced and offered healthy options ... from salads that were crisp and fresh, soups delicate and well seasoned, and even a BBQ featuring several choices. In addition, residents who preferred a meal that was not on the prescribed menu, were offered another choice. And I was happy to note that my friend's table mates provided good conversation and had a positive outlook. The atmosphere felt welcoming. Even the facility bus driver added tour guide" to his regular routine! I came away confident that my friend had found a good home. Thank you to all the management and staff who are there for my friend

If there was a Ranking system for Retirement Residences Imperial Place would be No 1 on my list. The reason for that begins the moment you walk through the front door. Here they have put together a great staff. Imperial Place is my Home and the staff my extended family. Doesn't hurt either that there is a wide range of amenities and a superb dining room. First class in every respect.PS:That's Five Star Plus by the way

I am a musician who performs for residents at over 50 care facilities from Vancouver to Chilliwack. I have been doing this for over 10 years now and love seeing the residents’ faces light up and see them grooving and dancing when they hear some of those good old tunes. There are many great facilities out there but I must say that Chartwell Imperial place stands out to me as a place where both staff and residents seem really happy to be where they are and spending time with each other. I can’t wait to come back and play there again. Thanks to everyone at Chartwell Imperial Place! You are all truly inspiring!

Bright shiny and new! Moms new apartment is exactly what she wanted.She’s in a convenient location, easy access and very central to her needs. The staff is super friendly and organized with Lots of fun activities to keep everyone engaged and happy. I would recommend Chartwell for a place to enjoy every day living, in fact this is a comeback for mom as she lived with me through covid and was happy to return to her home with lots of friends around to share laughs and meals with, bingo and crafts and so much more.

My experience with Chartwell has been fantastic so far. My mom has been staying here for a while and I am truly impressed with the care and attention she has received. The staff at Chartwell are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help in any way possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. My mom has made some great friends and loves participating in the various activities and events that the facility hosts. It has been a huge relief knowing that my mom is in good hands, even though I'm miles away. There are so many great things about Chartwell that I could say, but I'll just sum it up by saying that I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for assisted living for their loved ones.

From the moment you walk into Imperial you are greeted by the warm and friendly staff who truly care. The building has very large hallways and an amazing dining area. You can feel the positive energy flowing through out this community. Nicola, goes above and beyond with the residents and really gives imperial a warmth that we have not seen at any other retirement community. You will love living here!
