Would not recommend coming to Auarts. All they want is your money and have unnecessary school fees.

This school has become terrible. They no longer care about the students, the art community or anything aside from their bottom line. The admin are useless and should all be fired. They are quickly running this institution into the ground.

Easy to get lost for first time visitor. But art work they exhibit in the corridors is commendable

I am a new student. I have been to 3 other universities in my life; AUArts is the friendliest and most welcoming institute I have ever attended. As a purpose built art school, the studios and tech labs are top notch. The instructors are all practicing artists or designers. The school offers a fine arts stream and a design stream. If you are thinking of a career in art or design I recommend you have a serious look at AUArts.

I went in there for an art portfolio review day and all that i would say is that, it was such a nice experience. of course, i was super nervous, but the faculty was so welcoming and understanding and actually helped me open my eyes to new areas i could explore

very interesting people, remarkable conversations that can spark new interests. as well as seeing peoples ideas flow onto paper/canvas.

Offers really unique courses compared to other post secondary institutions. Professors are all very nice, and campus is fun to be on.

This is my 6th semester here, and my 5th time the admin has threatened to deregister me. They refuse to send my letter on enrollment on time (which I need in order to get my student loans to pay tuition), and then when I cant pay tuition on the deadline, they start removing me from the system. Which wouldnt bother me, if they would do their job, so I could do what I had to do, so they dont deregister me. They need non artists in their office. They need actual real people who know how to do business and run a school. Not a few artists who have masters degrees in different mediums who know nothing about keeping a business running smoothly.

great facilities and faculty, poor upper management making bad decisions, forcing extremely knowledgeable professors to retire rather than continue to pass on their skills and know-how in hands on studios. some very talented people come to this school and come out of this school. Show and Sale is a great experience to see and or purchase great art from emerging artists, often for a fantastic deal, show and sale is put on twice a year, in November and March, definitely worth going to.

Fantastic staff, fantastic professors, a great community, and a great atmosphere of creativity. Only massive issue is the administration doesn't seem to have much respect for the students and other staff. Professors are overworked, students constantly struggle to get paperwork and finances dealt with through admin, and the school is working to phase out the design and animation programs that make up a large portion of the student body and interest in the school. Felt very disrespected as a design student by these decisions and by the school management while I was a student. Otherwise, I love the courses I took, the people I learned from, and the people I met. Character Design Alumni of 2022.
