Western Grocery

I live upstairs and this little store is probably my favorite store of all time. Anytime I am craving a snack or a drink, or I need something general food wise, or if I need some minor household item - instead of hoping in the car and going somewhere or walking over to Walmart I just take the elevator and Western Grocery is there. The owners are two of the kindest and sweetest people you could ever meet and I hope for anyone who lives in Lougheed Village reading this who hasn't checked out Western Grocery yet - stop by. Obviously not a large selection but it's an elevator ride away to get most of the things you would need and the mark up is completely reasonable. I cannot recommend this place enough and I am so grateful they are there and I hope they remain there forever.

This little convenience store has been part of my little family’s life my grandbaby has grown up going for a treat here and we have relied on the true convenience of this little store run by the kindest sweetest people.

Cheap

The woman who staffs the counter is super sweet and nice. The older dude, on the other hand, seems like he suffers from alcoholism, and smokes in the back room, so it always reeks in the store.He also charges more than her for the same stuff. You try to talk to the guy, and he has slurred speech and his eyes are barely open. I've come in the store to find him sleeping multiple times. TBH, don't even bother going in if he's there. Waste of time.

Some “man” at this store is EXTREMELY rude. When I called this store back to ask why someone is calling and hanging up on me from their number, he grunted something in another language then hung up on me. Unprofessional manner given that they are a “business”.
