I love Agora, so many cute shops and nice restaurant

I just want to put forth everything that happened since we signed our lease with Agora:Friday Sept 17th.Move in date.No one contacted us to provide us information to keys pick up date/time/location.No one was there to give the keys or welcome us.Could not get to the office to ask someone for the key fob.Checked and saw the room was really dirty and was not cleaned at all with hair, lint, all over washer/dryer and two cans of beer still in fridge. Oil splashes everywhere on the counters, floor dusty and sticky.Emailed JUNIC right away, was told to receive reply before Monday.No reply as of Friday.Saturday sept 18.No reply. No nothing.Sunday sept 19.Called again. Couldn’t do anything, no reply.Monday sept 20.According to Edith Lariviere, director of building management, cleaning was done in the morning.6pm: Edith sent an email to me telling me cleaning has been completed.8pm: my girlfriend went to the apartment with our cat thinking it was ready to move in after cleaning. Saw the place, dryer/washer still has lint filter dirty, seem like no one changed it for few weeks of use.She did a bit of cleaning her self. Put the cat in the bedroom with food and water. Took pictures and showed me that only “cleaning” that was done was the person came in and took the two cans of beer. She left at 10pm.Edith sent email wanting to know when we can meet on Tuesday for an inspection with the building manager, we said Tuesday noon would be good.(Later in an email exchange, According to Edith, her manager came into our apartment on Monday without our consent and saw that the cat was there and claimed that it was a signal that we were moving in. )Tuesday sept 21:Noon: my girlfriend arrived maybe 5-10 min late due to traffic and saw no one was there at the apartment where they were supposed to meet at. So she fed the cat.Later I told her to contact the office on the second floor, Edith claimed that the manager was in our apartment until 12:20 with no one showing up.Not sure who is lying, but my girlfriend was with the cat around 12:07, having to call me at that time telling me no one was there.I understand she was late, was not there at 12 noon sharp. But does that mean your manager was there till 12:20? Does it also mean that your manager was there Monday night after 10pm and saw the cat there? We both know what actually happened right?So after all of this, manager finally shows up and tells my girlfriend that the place was cleaned. She showed the manager the lint filter to which he cleans up in front of her and tells her: see, easy, you just do this.Sounds very condescending and very immature thing to say. Either way, he claims the suite was ready for move in, that since the cat was here since Monday, it would be seen as already moved in.We emailed the director to which we received an answer that cleaning was not to “our satisfaction” but was done, choice of not moving in was not their decision or suggestion. Although the room was dirty, that we are in a covid pandemic, it was still in good condition to move in. Final decision does not include a compensation of any sort.

Lovely place to discover new vendors and food!

Beautiful condos and love the new project with all the stores.My only gripe is you're stuck in Hull. If you work in Ottawa, your commute will only get worse with time, not better. This is due to how fast Gatineau is growing, while public transit and more options to get across the river don't.I left Gatineau because of the painful commute each and every day to work. I was losing a lot of time in days.Nonetheless, if you work in Gatineau or work from home, you'll find some well-valued and beautiful condos here.
