Gabi's Fairytale Cafe

ordered a coffee from this place and they gave a cup then pointed to the plastic thermos on the wall....the cup didn't even fit under the filler nozel.such a disappointment. even McDonald's grinds their own coffee and makes it fresh.won't return ever.

Basic fare, the sandwich I had was actually great, though it did take a long time for what it was, and it seemed like the single person working was overwhelmed with the few people in the shop, even turning off the open sign during service, I assume with the hopes that no more people would come in (there were three people with food orders, and another two with self-serve coffee). The service was actually quite rude, but I would put this more towards her being overwhelmed. Several people walked out while I was waiting for my lunch.No take-a-way containers, so give it a pass if you're out with the dog, like we were.A decent place to stop if you're in nothing resembling a hurry, and aren't starving, as the food was good, fresh ingredients, etc., but otherwise it was an exercise in patience.This place has so much potential, being right across the street from a large motel that doesn't have a restaurant of its own, but has failed to capitalize on this with weird hours, no staff, etc.

Gabi is the best cook. The most delicious biscuits and cakes you can get here. But also lunch and dinner are excellent. All is fresh and homemade. We keep coming back, and I'm sure everyone is doing the same after the first visit. I find Gabi's Fairytale Café outstanding. Do not forget to stop here.

On two separate vacations we were refused service. Once for lunch and again for breakfast. At this point we are pretty sure she only serves locals as her open sign was off yet every table was full of chatting patrons. She was overly rude to us, I won’t say she ruined our vacation but she certainly put a stain on those mornings. So if you are looking for a cute place for great coffee and food try What’s Brewing On Broadway instead.

This local eatery is so delicious with the most wholesome and well made food served with German flair + love. The dishes are so healthy and made with fresh local organic ingredients. Expect home made eggers and scones and cakes and pies and artisan coffees and lattes. If I could eat here everyday I would. Highly recommend!!

The owner was super friendly and even let us stay a bit after closing to enjoy some really nice rhubarb pie. The scones are fantastic as well.

Not the best place in town, but could easily be better. Clean the property, play a little background music so everyone isn't forced to whisper or be overhead, expand the menu just a bit.... Good coffee though. The girl taking orders seemed a bit unhappy to be there...

We had a delicious blueberry muffin, shortbread cookies, a well-made cappuccino, a cheese scone, and a very nice white chocolate chai latte. They were great. The interior is charming.

I hope this place goes broke. The owner has no idea how to run a business. I purchased a pastry item but was abruptly asked to leave and not given a pastry because I brought in my own water. She is extremely rude and will NEVER go back. I will even share with everyone I know about the place.
