Ivan's Tree Service

We contacted these folks via one of their ads on Kijiji asking if they could plant trees for us. They got back to us agreeing to come by for an estimate but they never showed up. We followed up with them hours after the agreed upon time and they didn’t apologize for not showing up, stating “it won’t be today, be in a couple of days till I’d be able to come by” so we asked if we could firm up a date and time and received no response. We followed up with their head office and the receptionist took down our number but we never received a call back. We then followed up one last time via Kijiji asking if they were interested in the job still and once again received no response from the original contact via the ad. We understand that peak season arrives in the Spring. But it doesn’t preclude them from getting organized with a simple solution such as a calendar or excel spreadsheet to book appointments and get firm commitments in, especially if as a seasonal company you know to anticipate high season. Does a doctors office ever say to anyone “in a couple of days”? We found it extremely unprofessional to that they left us hanging after agreeing to initially meet. We will never use these folks for any of their services. If they won’t get back to you when they are busy, imagine how they would treat a warranty-related issue? Likely without responding.

Ivan's tree service did great work. Great quality for a great price. Him and his team were very professional and courteous. Very capable, and knowledgeable. We had a potentially difficult trim job to do, but Ivan and his team did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Ivan's tree service.

Ivan cut a very large pine tree down for my neighbour and a little damage was done to my shed roof. He and his sons were very apologetic and promised it would be fixed as good as new. He was very true to his word, his wife had called me several times as the steel roof colour was back order and they eventually found some in Sterling. Which is about a 90 minute drive. Not only did he replace the damaged sheets but replaced all the sheets including the ridge cap.This is a very respectful family business and the boys working on the job were so polite and respectful. I would highly recommend this team.I am so thankful to see such curtesy in today’s crazy world.
