Auberge Bouctouche Inn & Suites

Though this spot ticks a number of the boxes for a three star hotel it feels more like a two star. It better suits a worker looking for a bed at night than a vacationer. Pass on the included breakfast and go to the Tim's down the street. Plan to drive rather than walk to any of the local attractions. Some of the glowing reviews here make me wonder if there's another hotel with the same name!

What a cute little inn. Super comfortable beds, with tons of fresh towels, toiletries and working AC. The guy that checked us in was very friendly and nice- even though it was after midnight. And the elder lady in the kitchen was super friendly and made the breakfast look and taste better than it looked (it was just a normal intercontinental breakfast). Would def come back here again. Thanks for making our stay comfortable.

They also have a public restaurant on site, which I didn't realize until recently. They're Sunday buffet breakfast is wonderful with an abundance of selections. The food was great! The view of the ocean is fabulous while eating your meal. And what a great price! I will come again and again. I didn't rate the rooms as we didn't stay the night.

Really is a home away from home - that's companion dog friendly.My favorite part is the lobby (hadn't ever said that before lol) because there's all kinds of artifacts that are so neat. & it's just beautiful everywhere you look.Can't wait to stay here again!! Nice large spacious room with 2 queen beds with sofa & 2 chairs. Very comfortable beds. Very peaceful and quiet sleep. Great morning breakfast coffee, English muffin egg Bacon and cheese) yogurt & muffin. Brought both dogs (chihuahuas). Friendly staff.

I booked a room specifically with two queen beds for a one night stay at the Auberge Bouctouche on July 30 for my family of four. Upon arriving (at about 5:30pm) I was given a room with one queen and a sofa bed. Despite showing my confirmation made on the hotel website clearly showing the two queen beds, the front desk clerk informed me that he couldn’t change the room because the hotel was full. We asked if there was a roll away bed. They informed us they did not have one and they have some on order. Regarding the booking, the hotel gave the excuse that there must have been a mixup and that he couldn’t do anything about it. My wife said she was very disappointed and the clerk only offered back the statement “I know you are”. There was no attempt at a discount or other offer for the inconvenience - and my wife and I certainly made it clear our displeasure. I will note that I was charged $7.75 less for this room than what the original booking showed (though I would guess this is the normal price difference between the 1 Queen & sofa bed room and the 2 queen room). Being a Saturday in July there were no other hotel options available in the immediate vicinity based on a quick search.For what it’s worth the room was ok (notwithstanding the sofa bed issue). However the sheets on the sofa bed seemed not to have been changed in some time. We did ask for new sheets - they didn’t have the appropriate sized sheets for the pull out so we settled with the larger queen sized sheets. And there was only one pillow for the sofa bed. Fortunately we were able to obtain another pillow. The lighting should be improved in the bathroom. And the room could have used a better vacuuming as there was some food pieces under the table. My wife made many complaints and the clerk said noted that my wife could work there.Bottom line: The hotel is fine (for the time-being) but it is time for an update (no iPhone chargers and an older tv). This is not a dive of a hotel, but the failure to honour a booking as made and further failure to not make up for the error is appalling hence the one star review. It further appears that the workers just don’t seem to care based on the poor room prep and awful front desk customer service.Note: We provided the hotel our contact information for them to get back to us - perhaps issue an apology at the very least. We have not heard back from them at the time of this review.

We do not often offer bad reviews but this can’t be otherwise as our experience has really been disappointing. When we arrived, the check-in took a long time - first because the receptionist did not seem particularly in a hurry, then because he decided to have us wait until he sorts out a technical problem with Booking while we had no part in it. On our part, the room was already paid 2-3 weeks before. They even ask that we call Booking for them to fix this problem for them. Only a call to their manager allowed us to get in the room. Then we looked for the gym (as indicated on Google and Booking, and one of the reasons we booked the hotel in the first place) but the receptionist specified that it used to exist, but not anymore. And then we tried to enjoy the room as the air conditioning in the bathroom was extremely nosy (no way no one did not notice it, at least during the cleaning). So very disappointing indeed.
