Black River Wilderness Park
Staff are so amazing and the campsite is wonderful! It has multiple islands that you can walk to and explore. Bring a water tube for cruising down the river and be careful of the mini rapids! (Pack a repair kit and pump too!)Each campsite is unique and is close to the river. The camp sells firewood and ice. The office is open until pm. We had a lot of fun exploring around Washago and the campsite. We cruised down the river during the day - and had the most breathtaking view of the stars at night. Price, people and scenery is amazing. You wont regret coming here.

This park is amazing from the owner who was so very friendly snd helpful to the islands for camping. My daughters loved it here. Lots for kids to explore. Very clean sites. Only downside was firewood here is higher than most places and seemed to burn really fast. Highly recommended going here.

It's by far MY favorite campground!Staff are friendly. There is a mini cafe/ history/ convenience store as you drive in.Where you can purchase anything from firewood to ice cream. The natural lazy rivers are just to live for!So bring your inflatable floaties and bathing suits.Enjoy not only the lazy river but the river itself. Rrappids and strong and currents are stronger. You have to be a good swimmer. Or have a lifesaver on just in case. But Shhhh... we don't want to let everyu

I would HIGHLY suggest camping here. First, the staff are amazing, friendly and down right happy to be working there. They take care of the land, they know the best routes for rafting. Just overall the best places to go around the area. The hiking at the back is phenomenal!I don't know how to express how wonderful this place is. And if you are looking for a family campground and not too much parting. They have rules and they stick to them! A group gets rowdy and they cause problems? They get removed from the campground by police. Also the police patrol the campground twice a night! Wow, I feel so safe here.Beautiful just beautiful!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Have not camped here yet, but the park is well-treed and has a terrific winding river that we have gone tubing on the last 2 years. The office is clean and stocked for campers, and sells tubes as well. They host a weekly outdoor market, and have yurts and teepees for camp rental. There's a playground, picnic shelter, etc. No rowdies- strictly a family spot. Love the place and its surroundings.

My family has been camping here for over 10 years. Stayed in one of their yurts for the first time for two nights since I’m 8 months pregnant and wanted to be more comfortable. Beautiful and clean. Bring your own bedding. Recommend bringing a padded or thicker blanket to sleep on top of as the mattresses are comfortable but would’ve been better with the extra support.Yurts come with: outdoor BBQ, sockets to charge your phone, etc, fireplace and fan for the change in weather, a firepit with muskoka chairs and their own picnic tables. All yurts are located next to the water and fairly close to the bathroom building as well as the park and camp office. There are multiple islands connected by bridges, nature trails and rivers. The people who work here are really kind and helpful. The last day my lighter ran out and they let me borrow theirs to cook my breakfast over the fire. Had a few issues with noisy and ignorant campers (which has never happened while camping there since I was a kid), but the manager and staff were supportive and dealt with the situation. Really love this campground.

The park is clean and truly well cared for. The whole energy of the park is so welcoming. Yes - the bathrooms are outdated but they are being renovated this winter and quite honestly, I have seen worse at Provincial Parks. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming

Giving it a 3 start because this place was almost impossible to get a hold of and book a site/ask questions. Very unreliable staff/ owners on the phone ( must be under staffed) . But once I got there the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Gave me his personal cell number for any problems. Place was really unique but pricey. Bring a pump up floaty for the river.More of a kids camping site around the rv area but more private on the islands. It was pretty noisy because of it being so close to the highway. Showers weren't open but the bathrooms were clean.

This is easily one of the most beautiful sites I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The trails for hiking are essentially attached to the park and make for hours of exploration. I would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone. Wood and ice were a bit on the expensive side compared to many other parks we've been to.
