We hired Craftsman Deck and Patio to build our 320 sf Deck in Mississauga and are extremely pleased with the outcome.We were so impressed with Chris Hornby that we did not bother to look for other quotations. They were not only reasonable but very experienced and had numerous great suggestions for the project .We obtained a Building Permit and they assisted us with every aspect from Foundation Pylons, Pressure Treated Wood Structure to Composite Decking and Aluminum Handrails with clear Tempered Glass.They wired in Accent Lighting throughout and added the Cedar skirting.Chris and Crew are masters of detail and very precise, not only in making the job beautiful but with optimal yield of materials.The greatest achievement was the horizontal bending of a 20' composite board to form a curve front on the initial landing.The Mississauga City Inspector was so impressed with each stage of their work that he requested their Contact Info for future reference.

In need of replacing our old cedar deck, which had run its course for more than a couple decades, we found Chris of Craftsman Deck and Patio simply based upon our research on google reviews. We asked him to come for an estimate, and eventually between choices of cedar and composite, we were sold on the latter for its low maintenance perspective. With the deposit paid and schedule set, we were still a bit uneasy, affected exclusively by the recent surging cases of scam by contractors, since the decision was made rather hastily. Oh, it turned out we were worried too much! He was more than fitting the bill and then some. As a skilled worker, he came equipped with many years of experience and worked extremely hard with a detail oriented mindset. So much so that at times we felt he was building our deck for his own. As a person, he’s good mannered and very patient. You could easily talk with him and he would answer all your questions. The project was completed on schedule with excellent finish and workmanship on the end product. Thus, it’s quite comfortable for us to say he is trustworthy, who runs his company with honesty and integrity.This review is being written as we are sitting cozily on the deck he built. If you live in the area of southwestern Ontario and need someone to build a deck, we fondly recommend with no hesitation that you contact Chris. You will be glad you did!

Extremely pleased with my new deck! Right from the beginning with planning the project through to completion Chris and his brother were professional in their workmanship and approach. Always on time keeping me well informed during the work. Demolition and removal of the old deck was smooth. Work space was always clean with great clean up throughout. Beautiful finished space that I was able to enjoy this past summer! Thanks!!
