I don't get why this place has only 3.7 stars. It deserves 5! Friendly, humble, unstuffy, resonably-priced mani, spa pedis, acrylics and more.

THE COLOUR, THE QUALITY, THE SERVICE...10/10! Despite how busy the salon that day, the staff welcomed me even with a walk in! The lady that did my nails was super nice and really helped me get the ideal result that I was looking for. The nails have lasted me over 3 weeks as the acrylic combo that they use is amazing (no chips or nail breaks) and the colour is just beautiful. I really wanted a bright neon pink shade and that's exactly what they gave me. It's a new set of colours that they recently ordered so I'd highly recommend asking to see the new shades if your looking for something bright! The length was also exactly what I was looking for...short enough that I can type no problem but also long enough that it looks nice! Overall, I will absolutely be coming back!

Please do not get served by ANDY -he was so rude and so lazy . When I got there I showed him what I wanted to do , the colours I wanted , he told me they don’t have them , I said okay I am going to choose another one . since I was on my lunch break, I asked if he could start preparing my nails while I choose a colour from what they have . But he refused again . Mind you there was only 2 clients there not busy at all . He was not doing anything just so lazy he didn’t wanna work and he started yelling.

Updated review March 30 2022: I had to go back to edit my review and add 2 more stars to make it a 5 star experience. I came back to have a French manicure done and this time I got Andy. And he was awesome. He did an amazing job. I don’t think I ever got my nails to look so good. From the minute I sat down with him he was pleasant positive and made an effort to make great conversation with me. He worked so fast yet everything he did was perfect. Unlike the last time when it took 2 hours, this time it took less than an hour! In the end he added an extra touch. He added cream to my hands and massaged my hands. I work with my hands and they are always in so much pain! That massage by itself was worth $1 million. From now on Andy’s my go to person. Thank you so much Andy. You deserve to have your salary double because you really are excellent at what you do. You made me a very happy customer.REVIEW FROM 2019: Although not the best salon I have been to, I was relatively happy with my services. I really liked Sereatha the nail technician who did the work. She was quiet and focused on her work which made the experience quite relaxing for me. The work conditions in nail salons are really not great with strong fumes of chemical nail solutions and nail particles in the air so I admired her hard work and dedication in those not so great conditions. She did a nice job with the French manicure. I only do my nails a few times a year when I go on holidays and quickly need them off upon returning to work so I was not fussy about the end result. It was not perfect, there were some little error bits here and there but it was not very noticeable and like I said, I was not too fussy and still loved her work! The salon itself is quite busy. While I was there, they turned away many walk ins. I had an appointment at 6:30pm and was disappointed to wait 30 min until Sereatha took me in. I was about to walk out! The whole process took another 2 hours for French manicure gel nails. That is double the time it usually takes. I have had my nails done for many years and it never took more than an hour. Considering how busy I am and how crunched with time I am that was a major negative for me which will result in me most likely not going back unless I am not able to get an appointment elsewhere but again I really like Sereatha's services and personality and that by itself made me forget about the long process! So unhappy with my experience. I had a newer lady who said she hadn't been doing acrylic nails for a while, which was fine with me as she took a bit longer/wanted to take her time. I showed her a picture of the colour/shape I wanted, which was a pale pink with an accent nail, with a coffin shape. She didn't exactly start doing what I wanted, and when I tried to mention something (I tried to be as nice as possible) she seemed irritated with me, so I just left it cause at the end of the day, I was happy as long as they all looked the same shape and were a nice colour. I had my nails done Wednesday, and 2 of my nails have already fallen off along with my cuticles/ around my nails are hacked up pretty bad. They're short and I don't do anything super rough with my hands/ theres no way I'd just snap them off. 1.5 hours and the nails lasted less than 48 hours. I also paid $50 since it was acrylic with shellac on top. I've been here once before and had a fine experience, so I was pretty troubled with why this time has been so terrible. I tried contacting to see if they'd either re-do the set or re-do the nails that have fallen off, but the girl over the phone said it was $5 per nail repair (which is ridiculous as it's literally been less than 5 days and my nails are falling apart). I'll unfortunately have to find another salon, as it seems their staff is either too new, or not as experienced with nails as they should be. Bummer since I went here back in the summer and loved it with their old staff. :/

I was visiting Ottawa and needed to get my nails done, this salon was able to accommodate me as a walk-in client for a shellac manicure after I walked out of another place that did not respect my appointment time. They were quick, professional, friendly, and the result was very nice! The prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend this nail salon!

It’s my fist time in Ottawa and I decided that need to find a spa to do my pedicure and fullest set nails. I tried a very popular spa across from Rio Spa and they told me that they couldn’t do it because they were fully booked. Anyway while walking I glimpsed across the street Rio Spa and I decided to try them. No regrets. The place was clean and fresh, the staff was welcoming and they converse with you so you never feel bored and fall asleep. The pedicure was more than half and hour which is a pretty good time for a good pedicure. My nails are well done. Thumbs up to Maya. I love this place, I will be coming back once I visit Ottawa again.

Best manicure I've gotten in a long time! So friendly and such attention to detail. Came here on my way home one day on a whim and so happy I did. Amazing colour/service selection, and spectacular results!!Update: got a quick 10 dollar french manicure to clean my nails up for christmas and I am just as impressed :)

Best place ever for nails in down town!! Andy was adorable and so sweet I definitely recommend this place.

Made an appointment to be first in the day. It’s wheelchair accessible. We arrived and were ushered into a mellow room. The pedicure is great. They massage your feet and legs. They soak your feet. They trim your nails. All the while you are sitting in a massage chair.Manicure great too. It was 50$ each. Say hi to Sereatha from me
