My truck's poorly running engine was quickly diagnosed as a timing issue and was repaired quickly at a reasonable price. Nobody tried to sell me anything that I didn't need to get repaired. I will be going back for my future car repairs.

We were visiting from Calgary and our car broke down and it was too expensive to fix. Long story short it was at his shop and he could have taken advantage of us and he didn’t even charge us. We even kept the car there for 3 days and he found someone to pick it up. Great guy.

Had an inspection, showed up on time but they were out getting parts :/ rescheduled and one day before the new inspection our truck was broken into and an attempt was made to steal it, and since we hadnt been able to get our inspection on the day we had planned, insurance didnt cover anything :(( they do good work, just wish they were more reliable time wise

I went seeking his assistance with the recommendation of someone who knew him when my rental van got stuck in a mud in the middle of no where. He was extremely helpful and came to the rescue with no hesitation loading up his monster truck at the back of his trailer. It was more of those once in a life time experiences. He is also one of those most respectful and helpful mechanics in town. The world needs a kind person like Mat!!

I had my wheel bearings replaced here. It was seemingly quick and decent service. That was until I had to replace the brakes. The caliper mounting bolts on the drivers side had both been, and was missing the retaining bracket for the outter pad. As well, onnthe passenger side the caliper was missing one of the two required mounting bolts. The handy work" at this garage has just costed me far more money today at another garage

AMAZING SERVICE!! I was stranded in cold lake with a broken axke on my truck. He was closed as it was the day after boxing day but he took me in, put the truck on a hoist and showed me what was good and what was broken. Was very fair with pricing. Just an awesome guy and honest. I was desperate to get home and a lot of shops would take advantage of that. Thanks again Mat.

My car was making a weird noise and he diagnosed it almost immediately. He was able to have it fixed in under an hour and didnt try to upsell me. Great guy and knows what hes doing. 100% would recommend Mats General Mechanic.
