Toraguchi Martial Arts

I am beyond amazed at the adaptability of the entire Toraguchi team that was able to bring us Virtual Sensei (online live training) every single day during these difficult times, when we need it the most. The children and adults alike have been able to follow basically the same schedule as an in class and amazing detailed training. Thank you for showing all your passion in what you do through new ways for us to continue with our training, keeping us connected and active. You are the true essence of karate.

I have been going to this Martial Arts place for about 7 years now. Every class if amazing and different. We learn how to defend ourselves from bullies at school or just bad people on the street. We learn about the origin of karate as well. My Sensei is amazing in classes, he is always encouraging us to work hard and not just be good people in the Dojo but to be good people in the outside world as well. All in all this is a 5 star place and if you want to try Karate, I 100% recommend this place.

I have been training here for almost a year and I have been very pleased with the high quality of my training. The instructors are friendly, professional, and know how to cater to students at any skill level.I came to this dojo with no experience in the martial arts and I have benefited a lot from my training not just in physical activity but with discipline, philosophy and classical training.Overall I would recommend this school for any person looking to train more seriously than just recreational styles and who would appreciate the classical element in our training here.

Have been a full-time student since late 2019, and have always been amazed by the amount of respect given by fellow students, Sensei, Senpai, and the overall dojo community. Would highly recommend as a new school for those wishing to enroll themselves and/or their kids in Karate.

So much more than excellent martial arts instruction, it's a community of fantastic people interested in helping others. My two girls love karate and ninja fun time with stories and crafts. We all love the family classes. The transition to physical distancing was pretty quick and seamless, and it provides an essential connection to others during a tough time for kids with schools closed. Thank you to a wonderful dojo!

Our kids have been taking karate lessons at Toraguchi Martial Arts for 3 years and a half and we have nothing but great things to say about the dojo and its staff. Sensei approaches everything he does with so much attention, care, enthusiasm and passion. He and his team are able to strike the perfect balance between discipline, respect and fun. We also want to congratulate them for the way they managed the COVID-19 crisis. They immediately switched gears and put forward a comprehensive virtual program with very little disruption. Our kids have made tremendous progress since starting their training at Toraguchi. We want to thank the whole Toraguchi team for being so dedicated to the development of our kids. You guys are simply the Best!

I read a negative review for the Classical Martial Arts Centre today and was shocked. I do not usually ever write online reviews for anything, but feel compelled to provide some perspective. My hope is that anyone looking for a Dojo in the Oakville area will see the positive reviews, like this one, and understand what a welcoming and community focused this Centre, its staff and owners are. To say that they treat their clients like a number" couldn't be further from the truth.I have 2 boys who attend Classical Martial Arts. My oldest started first and loves it so much he did a school project about karate. When he asked Sensei for some advice around the project

This is an amazing caring school. From behind the desk to into the 'classroom', we can feel the attention and love from the owners. You can really feel that the owner's soul and heart in this centre. I appreciate the kindness given to each individual student as well as the tough love given when necessary. My son has tried many different activities and sports, and finally this is one class he asks and begs never to miss!!! THANK YOU and keep up the wonderful spirit!!!

We are fairly new to the Karate world. I’m so pleased with our experience thus far. My son is being challenged physically, and we feel very welcomed by staff. We are enjoying having this new positive activity to look forward to. Wonderful confidence builder, and encouraging atmosphere.

This Karate school is more than a martial art, it’s about learning respect, dedication and having positive role models. The virtual sensei is also lots of fun. My son get daily activities to do, he is improving in his karate and can continue to move up in his belts from home. I highly recommend this school.
