Heading to Prince Rupert? This is a beautiful trip through the inside passage. I would recommend clothing for rain/mist and reserving a cabin. The food is terrible on this ship (and you'll have 2 meals) -- bring your own -- anything is better (and what many others do). Hot/cold drinks are OK. The captain will announce any sightings of marine animals.

Such a fantastic voyage. We reserved a stateroom which was super cozy and made the trip. Food options are not the best for this voyage and we actually stopped at the supermarket in Port Hardy prior to sailing for some healthier options in our cooler. The trip was lovely and we saw the sunset, sunrise and whales!!

Fun scenic trip from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy. The Northern Explorer was clean and comfortable. We were glad to have reserved a cabin, which had twin beds with sheets and a comforter a bathroom with a wonderful hot shower. A nap felt great after the 5:30 am arrival for the 7:30 am departure. The 16 hour trip was pleasant, the crew welcoming. There were plenty of comfortable chairs available and good views from various inside and outside deck areas.

The inside passage is one the nicest ferry trips in the world. All day long one is treated to a magnificent scenery. Whales and killer whales, bald eagles and small fishing villages. There is lot to see during the trip.

Shout out to Maureen and her staff at the Port Hardy terminal office!!! I can't begin to express our gratitude in helping us get to Prince Rupert this past Monday. Maureen is an awesome person to deal with and truly an asset to BC Ferries. Thank you Maureen and thanks to all the great staff at Port Hardy. Keep up the great work

My favorite way to travel to the south coast! It is a must do once in your life if you get a chance. I have done it 4 times and it is very relaxing. It is not cheap though, especially if you have a larger family. I usually take it on shoulder season to save a few bucks...

Beautiful voyage, and definitely worth the splurge for the cabin with a window. I didn’t want to get off the boat when we arrived at our destination. The poutine is delicious.

Nice people. $22 to camp in line after checking in. Sleep in extra half hour as opposed to lining up at gate at 5:30
