Enviro Paving

We were extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by Jason Schoenau and Enviro Paving in Edmonton.  He was very friendly and attentive while collecting our deposit, but it was all downhill from there.  We waited exactly two months from the time we handed over a deposit to when our sidewalks were actually finished, so don't expect to have them done right away.  The first appointment we had scheduled, nobody showed up and we never even got a phone call.  After rescheduling with their head office, the second scheduled day came and went with nobody showing up and no phone call again.After leaving a message telling him how upset I was about the lack of communication, he finally sent over a crew who ripped out the grass in our backyard where entirely new sidewalks were going and they left the grass in a huge pile on our driveway and said they would eventually remove it.  Then the third scheduled appointment came and we didn't expect anyone to show up because it was raining.  Even so, once again, we received no phone call, not even to reschedule.  Jason never EVER replies to phone messages or texts.  When I left messages with their head office, they never returned them either.After the fifth appointment was scheduled and nobody showed up, I called to see where they were, it turned out that the whole crew just happened to call in sick.  Then a few days later some guys showed up and packed down the gravel.  Then out of the blue, a few days after that, the whole crew showed up to install the new sidewalks and cover up the existing ones.  They finished in about six hours and had to be constantly monitored because they kept missing spots or didn't even out the mix properly, leaving lines and bumps and dents.  It is hard to get this to look perfect, but it would have been nice to have a crew who put forth their best effort or showed at least some pride in their work.  When they finished, some of them kept stepping in it and had to repair it over and over.  I had to trim some edges myself the next day because it looked terrible.We chose a tan color of the rubber compound, which turned out much better in color than the sample Jason originally showed us, so I was pleased.  However, the tan mix came out uneven in many areas resulting in blotches and discoloration in a few areas that look like oil stains.  They said the color would even out when it dried, but it never did.  Some of Jason's crew were quite lazy and most were new.  The grass they left on our driveway sat there for TWO MONTHS so I left Jason two more messages to remove it and he never did return either call or remove the grass.  My wife and I had to remove the grass ourselves which was now one big heavy pile of molding sludge.  Thanks Jason, for the pathetic customer service and for the way you treat your customers.  I eventually called the head office and complained and once again they offered to connect me with Jason, but I told them not to bother.When I paid them for the work done so far, I still owed them $500, because I wanted them to come back and fix the discoloration and redo the front steps before paying the rest.  Apparently, this was a lot more than $500 of work, so Jason didn't even bother to call or come back.  They won't be able to fix everything unless they rip it all out and start over.  On top of that, the head office said they won't honor our five year warranty until I pay in full.  They offered to send someone back to fix everything, but I'm afraid they will just make it look worse than it already does.  I might call them in the future and I might not.The product is pretty good, but Jason really needs to learn how to treat his customers, and lacks respect, consideration and professionalism which is why I was compelled to write this review to let everyone know that I do NOT recommend this company.  There is a reason they have an F" rating on the Better Business Bureau website."

Enviro Paving did a great job. Love the pricy and the colour. Ellen and her crew were awesome to deal with. I would recommend this company and this product to anybody needing repairs to surfaces.

We got our driveway done by Enviro and they were wonderful to deal with like returning calls, meeting with us etc. right up until we paid them!!!! Our street cleaners had tore up a piece of our driveway so we contacted the county but they needed a quote for repair before moving forward. We contacted Enviro in regards to situation and they said they would send someone out, NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP! Lots of calls and messages left, fast forward to 1 YEAR LATER! The same thing happened to another area of our driveway upon this happening we noticed the job wasn’t done properly there’s no primer or bonding agent between the driveway & rubber! So tried to contact Enviro again! Still no answers constant run around and nothing being fixed & no one returning our calls! Super frustrating!!! Would not recommend this company to anyone! Oh! Also it was a crew of 16/17 y/o that showed up to do the job! Not saying they weren’t hard working but definitely not knowledgeable. ;/

Jason’s crew paved our front and back sidewalks, front and back porches/steps, and driveway with rubber. They were polite and respectful, worked carefully and meticulously over a few days of very high summer temperatures, barely taking any breaks. Something that I appreciated was their leaving the yard clean at the end of each day they were here. The finished product is awesome, and has received positive comments from people passing by our yard. It was such a treat to be able to clear the snow this winter without having to contend with the cracks in our walks and driveway. Based on our experience with Enviropaving, I would recommend them to anyone for their consideration.

First we would like to mention that our cement driveway and sidewalk is the original for our house, meaning it was poured in 1950. Thus it has seen lots of winters and its fair share of salt, scraping, getting beat on and in general some good frost heaving. So when it came time to finally do something about it is when I remembered my mother’s neighbor had some rubber re-surfacing done on theirs back in 2000. We had thought to ourselves. “Ya let’s see how long that lasts.” She had moved in 2001 so I didn’t keep an eye on its durability and longevity. When we priced new cement for our needs our jaw dropped. That’s when we had decided to go and check on that other driveway and see how it had stood up and talk to them how they have like it. Wow it still looked extremely good and they were very happy. We had gotten the name of the company (Enviro Paving) and called Jason set up an appointment and have never looked back.At first we were just going to do our driveway but after we had talked it over and we decided to do our backyard patios and sidewalks also so there was a lot to do. Jason and his crew came in June of 2019 in the morning and by the end of the day they had the back yard completed and on the second day the front driveway, sidewalk and front steps were also done. They were courteous, mindful of our yard and worked diligently not only to get the job done in a timely manner but done right, always asking as they proceeded if we were happy with what they had done thus far. Now that it is 2023 and have had a few winters under our belt, the only regret we have is that we didn’t get this done 20 years earlier. Snow removal is so easy and we are up there in age (70”s now). Thank you to Jason and his crew, not only does it look amazing it has made our lives easier.

Jason and crew were great! Not only did I get fair pricing but Jason flagged flooding and pooling issues that needed to be addressed. Jason took the time to explain how Enviropaving would address my cracked driveway concerns and was extremely patient. He answered all my questions, and took the time to check in with me during and after the job. Neighbours have commented on what a drastic difference the rubber paving has made. Now that Winter is here, I love how the snow and ice doesn’t stick to it. Would recommend Enviropaving to my family, friends and neighbours any time.

Ellen's crew did an excellent job of resurfacing our driveway. They got to work as soon as they arrived and didn't leave until the job was completed. The person who applied the product was obviously experienced and his attention to detail (edges and around fixtures) made the finished job look fabulous. They apply a product that can make you feel good as it uses shredded tires that will not end up in a landfill. I highly recommend this product and this company.

Jason and his team did a great job on my driveway. Fair price, quick work, excellent product. I was very pleased with the service received and the end result. I would recommend their services.

Inferior work. Last fall we had a rubber asphalt walkway installed by Enviropaving Kelowna. 324 square feet $3429. We noticed what we thought was an error in color when they were applying the product and we were told it would go away. This spring the unsightly areas were still there. We realized based on the repetitive roller pattern that they had rolled the rock crush base into the product when they applied it. See attached photos. Our attempts to have this problem assessed and a possible resolution have been deflected a number of times since early Spring. They never even came to look at it. We would not recommend this company as they are definitely not interested in follow up if there’s any issue. UPDATE When the owner Jason saw this review he said was concerned. He stated that he didn't know about my complaint and that he would come out this past April and look at it. He said he was sure we could come to a resolution. Well guess what, he has eluded emails and phone calls from us wondering if he was still going to show up. Once you pay them you never see them again if you have any issues! stay away from this company.
