We hired a personal support worker, Helen from this agency and she was a Godsend for our Mom. Mom had vascular demential and had mobility issues and had moved from our hometown to be with us in Ottawa. She was very sad and her life was very different from when she was independent as my sister and I both worked and didn't have the time to be with her to stimulate and enrich her life. We hired Helen and our Mom transformed into her normal lively self as Helen provided daily companionship and care for her. I HIGHLY recommend speaking to this agency--it is run by retired nurses and they know how to properly care for the elderly and those not able to care for themselves.
