Exciting to visit the place after reading the books and watching the series!Beautiful place! The mustard plantation on the other side of the road makes the place even more fantastic.

I recently visited this place and it was a beautiful and calm house. We could feel the smell of old books around the house. There're gift shops inside and outside , if you wish to purchase any books or souvenirs. A ticket was 8$ /person

It is a very cute place and the people working were fantastic. If your an Anne of green gables fan it's worth a trip and of course you get to see the rest of breathtaking PEI.

Well my wife wanted (even threatened me harm if I didn’t) to go and we did. I’m unfamiliar with the history but she absolutely loved it. Watching her in awe and joy made me happy to oblige. I really enjoyed the nature walks and admiring the heritage that is contained. A gift shop and food on premises makes it a great outing. Washrooms on site as well. Plenty of park and friendly staff. Glad to have hopped on in and learned about the history of this iconic book/series.

As a fan of Anne of Green Gables, I was very excited to visit the museum. I don't know what I was expecting...but it didn't fill the excitement and anticipation I had while driving through three provinces and one US state to get there...only to be in and out in a half hour. Even the souvenirs were disappointing. Unless you hadn't read any of Lucy Maud Montgomery's books...then they had every book available for purchase. The best part was the woman who greeted us and gave us a brief history/description of the rooms we were about to view...she was from Hiroshima, Japan and now currently resides in PEI. That to me, was awesome!! She was very knowledgeable and friendly...she was my highlight of the museum.

Such a lovely place! If you, like I, love to go to historic homes to see how things looked/were done, and you love Anne Shirley, I recommend checking this one out. A great exhibit, plenty of authenticity, and a nice gift shop. We wanted to do the carriage ride, but it was canceled due to high winds. So, we'll definitely put that on our to-do list next time we're on PEI.

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. They had a ton of interesting artifacts and being in the room where LMM was married was a bit of a thrill for this fan. I LOVED that they allow self-guided tours, because I like to take my time and linger over every display. My only disappointment here was the carriage ride. It wasn't by horse, it was by tractor....which, you know, they clearly didn't have big John Deere's in Anne's time"...so it took you a bit out of the story/time period. I'm about authenticity :) But

The family wanted to see this so we stopped. Rainy day so the tour was basically the old house. Very clean, staff are real nice. Very knowledgable. There were quite a few people, so space gets tight pretty fast. Overall nice no pressure visit. Would recomend for fans of the books.

Fantastic!! If you love old home, learning about history, and/or if you love Anne of Green Gables then this is the place for you. The museum walk through was really cool to see the different things that inspired the author who wrote Anne of Green Gables, and the different places in the house as described in the books. Such a cool experience. I loved reading about Lucy's (the authors) life and how she came up with her ideas. Walking around the grounds was cool too! Seeing the real lake of shinning waters" was well worth it! There is also a good craft store and gift shop on site. Plenty of parking. Easy access."
