Calderwood's Country Store

Very horrible service and over priced and shelves were bare and I had a can of chef borydee and it was watery and I got sick after eating and it took me 2 days to get better and the produce is bad and there's bugs in it and I found dead cockroches on the floor and the cliening is about to cave in and it's not save to work or be in so if I were you I would stay away from that store

Horrible experience both working there and shopping there, the owner is insufferable when it comes to treating her employees with respect, the items are always overpriced and the vegetables are always rotting or in the process of rotting, and most of the meats are in the process of been spoiled. While I was working there the owner ruda was almost always in her office watching cat videos on YouTube. Don't shop here if you value the contents of your bank account/wallet

The absolute worst the owner did nothing but complain about how the community does not support the small grocer so what is the point of restocking the shelves the shelves were pretty bare and I spent over 300.00 dollars and came out with 3 bags of groceries only one meat item and 1 milk product will never spend another cent in this store as long as I live I promise you that this store owner is rude ungrateful and greedy period

DO NOT SHOP HERE! DO NOT WORK HERE! DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO WORK HERE!I worked for Kirk and Ruta Calderwood for 8 months and it was the worst experience I've had at a job. I will not go into detail as I don't want a defamation case on my hands.I understand the lack of options in the area but if you care for your health and for your community, don't support these people. They do not deserve your hard earned money. Shop at the store in Letellier or Emerson instead.

The woman who runs this store is named Ruda and is notorious for racial profiling and being blatantly rude to native people. This town is 5 minutes from a First Nations reserve. I've never in my life been sure of this happening to me until meeting this old miserable lady. She stood by and hovered while we were trying to decide which super glue to buy and when we decided on one we asked if they are all the same price and she agreed. Got to the til and this one was double the price! I had ripped the cardboard outlet that it hangs from the wall on and she would not allow me to buy the cheaper one that she assured us were the same price. She seemed very annoyed that I looked around the store and questioned and confronted me if I knew where or what Caribou (french Canadian whiskey wine alcohol celebrated at Festival Du Voyageur) came from and when I told her she had no idea what I was talking about. Lucky for me I don't ever have to go to this discrimination based small town ever again. Avoid at all costs if you are not Caucasian.
