Hu’s Noodle Nook was pretty decent! First of all, they had exceptionally service! Ella was kind and extremely attentive! The Kanilkura Don was fresh and delicious with an excellent texture. The Black Garlic was delicious and aromotic! The meat on the ramen was the best part!!

The server was very nice and friendlt! They also had a game wherein if you choose right, they will give you free food! Who wouldn't want that?! The ambiance is great. The food is really good too! I highly recommend!

The food is decent enough for a mid experience of both Japanese and Chinese themed noodle soups. You can tell the two owners work very hard and are very passionate about making the business successful by presenting the customers with a fun vibe / atmosphere. The prices are also very fair, and the parking is excellent even given the busy location. The short comings start, from what I believe to be a disconnect between priority and responsibility between themselves, and their staff. Honestly 1 or 2 weeks off spent practicing simulating service flow, perhaps tethered with some shorter services periods would do a lot to build a stronger sense of cohesion to keep things running more smoothly. Instead of the semi-chaotic, slow, and inconsistent service you can currrently expect from Hu's.

The place has a casual vibes to it. It's clean and our server (Wyatt) is polite and fun! The ramen in the picture is the black garlic (not spicy). I definitely enjoyed it and I'm coming back for sure.

I came from Vancouver to visit a friend, and the beef noodles and Tan Tan Don here are so good! It was better than all the beef noodles I had in Vancouver and reminded me of the taste of home. I recommend everyone to go eat there!

Got the tonkotsu ramen, was pretty good. The broth was easy to drink, light and creamy. The noodles were good consistency as wellThe meat was not bad, but were very slin slicesThe service was very nice and the store is clean with a modern look, nice atmosphere. They have a little game where if you guess which hand they hid a candy, they give you a free appetizer, that was very niceUnfortunately it doesnt come with the egg so you have to pay extra $2 for it

Went here on a whim, and glad I did. The broth (I got the Tan Tan) was very flavourful and the portion size very generous. Good bang for the buck. The wait was a little longer than expected, but they were busy at the time I walked in. Will definitely return.

The place is located in the heart of oliver square, next to dream tea house.Spring Rolls (free since they had a promo of guessing which hand had the marble, pretty easy to win as you get many chances): It was crunchy, hot and tasty with their plum sauce.Potato croquettes: Hot, crunchy, with a strong potato flavor. It comes with a savory sweet salty sauce.Age dashi tofu: Soft inside with a crunchy outside texture. The light soy sauce was a little bland for the tofu.Tonkatsu Nabe: Vermicelli with tofu, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, enoki mushroom. The broth was nice and hot with a slight sweet tofu taste.Black Garlic ( No egg included): salty and savory broth. The garlic is very fragrant. The pickled ginger is a nice addition and the sauna egg ( extra cost) is good as it's creamy and very tasty. The soup could've been hotter though.Hu's noodle beef udon: Just okay. The beef was kind of raw and the whole beef udon was just average.Shio Ramen: The noodles were just okay, the flavor was subpar and it was just a typical ramen, nothing special.Chicken Kaarage:: The chicken was light and a little too soft for my taste. The chicken had a little frozen after taste.Teriyaki Chicken Donburi: Sweet and savory chicken with a mushy rice texture. The broccoli, eggplant, zucchini, and carrot made the bowl really colorful.

Y'all, hands down their black garlic tonkotsu is some of the richest, most flavourful tonkotsu I've ever had. This place definitely moved up as my #1 spot to get some hearty, filling ramen. I also liked that the soup wasn't scalding hot coming out and was hot enough to enjoy and slurp away at without burning your tongue. (Helped a lot cause I just could not stop eating my ramen once it came out).My bf got the curry ramen, and that ramen definitely has the spice and punch that hits you in the back of the throat. I would say it's good, but not as creamy and hearty as the black garlic tonkotsu. But he finished the whole bowl nonetheless. We also ordered the mini donburi, which were the perfect size if you wanted to have some rice with your noodles to satiate all your Asian necessities. The Buta Meshi was nice and meaty. Has a good braised beef flavour and the Kanilkura is good if your craving some of that california roll goodness. And we ate all the appetizers before I took a photo but the agedashi tofu was perfect and chicken kaarage was crunchy. 10/10 will come back, and definitely recommend everyone else to come too.
