BC Ferries Duke Point Terminal
BC Ferries is a necessity for us on the island….so hard to depend on a service that is struggling due to weather and staff however they do the best they can and it’s appreciated! Reservations are the only way to go but they should honour them on the next available sailing if your ferry gets cancelled.Some of the terminals could use a bit of an upgrade in terms of food service as the lineups and waits are getting longer and longer and it will just get worse.The coffee shop (Coyote) had lots to offer and the girls were hustling and super friendly. Worth the wait to pick something up before you get on the ferry.Happy sailing

I haven’t been on a ferry until this one. Totally blew me away with the organization, timeliness, and onboard amenities. It was a very comfortable ride over from Nanaimo to Tawassen.

BC Ferries Duke Point Terminal
We went from Duke Point to Tsawwassan, had a reservation, but got there early so we could look around and walk, in the ocean breeze! So beautiful!There are washrooms, and a little shop to have a bite to eat, and a couple of tents where they were selling jewellery and other artwork, for souvenirs! Gorgeous as you can see by the video!

Reserved online. If you're sure of your departure, it's a great option. Seniors travel free Monday-Thursday. Your vehicle and reservation fee are on top of this, of course. The food from the cafeteria is very good, although it is a bit pricey. Washrooms and seating areas were very clean, and the ferry staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff are usually nice and competent, Biggest Issue at Duke Point is the lack of Bus transportation.. not sure why that is as BC Ferries state that pedestrian transport is a priority. This is now a bigger issue with traffic now rerouted from Horseshoe Bay to Tsawwassen..

This is the place to take a car ferry to south of Vancouver (Tsawwassen) and we found it convenient heading home to Seattle.The waiting facilities are fine with a small coffee shop and vending machines and toilet.Not much else here and unable to access the water.

Nice infrastructure and it has served visitors the best it can.We love the trip between Mainland and Vancouver island. It is always fun and beautiful that kids love it.Ferry itself is ok, the port is massive and impressive. Efficient and safe. We feel confident and comfy when we drive in and out of the port.Keep up the good work.

BC Ferries Duke Point Terminal
These guys are winning today in my books. They did not have their ticket person show up and even though we have a puppy with us, they allowed us to enter via passenger deck. They saw us huddling together in the pet area and brought us to an empty passenger area so that we could be warm with our pup. Great service and wonderful people. This has been an exceptional experience. Thank you BC ferries for all you do for us!

Nice terminal but food area is so small . Be there on time 30-60 minutes before sailing time or easily you can miss your sailing and the wait may be for more than two sailings
