Good spot if you know what you’re paying for. Tough for English speakers but doable. Fun for groups. The rooms aren’t amazingly sound proof so you can hear other rooms if your music isn’t loud enough.

CASH ONLY. JAN2023.they charge tax on TOP of the tip amount so make sure you don't tip on the final bill. we ended up tipping over 20% which is fine but just would've liked to know. songs were decent but system is difficult to use and they need more latest songs or an option to connect aux. overall bottles were pricier than I thought and they kept blasting the heat even though the rooms were so stuffy but not the worst ktv. bboss has better ammenities though.

I'd give 3.5 stars if I could.The reviews here are not wrong in terms of song selection and the interface. There definitely was a trick to navigating the interface, and even with that there was not a huge song selection for English singers. When we looked for a particular artist and it showed no songs, we ended up finding a song buried in the song list by them, so even the search function is a bit sketchy.The interface is also at the front of the room and those who are selecting songs are often blocking the view of the lyrics on screen.Pricing for the alcoholic beverages was a bit insane. 200$ for a bottle with mix, however, it does help you get to the rooms 300$ minimum spend.Staff were helpful and had us switch rooms when our karaoke system was not working properly, they cleared the empty food cartons, brought our orders promptly, and even gave us a heads up for last call.Decor was flashy and interesting, and they included tambourines and maracas in every room for extra noise making.Our group liked that we had the room until close without feeling rushed, we liked the extra noise makers and mood lighting, but we're disappointed with the drink prices and song selection.All in all, everyone had a good evening.

Oh man amazing time! We were killing time between R&D for dinner and speakeasy late night and I’m so glad I picked this place to go to!They take cards not just cash. There’s a minimum spend (food and drink) but you’re not limited on time or billed by time.The machine was easy to navigate and easy to find songs we wanted.We got a bottle of grey goose that came with mixers and just made our drinks in the room. Only funky thing is it was little Dixie cups for our drinks haha. No biggie.Last note: my husband was confused about the random charges (2x $30) and unfortunately I told him too late that gratuity was probably already applied. So in future we won’t be adding a tip ontop a tip. =)We had a really great night and would come back again as a result.

Worse compared to the place right next door.The upside: slightly more spacious rooms, better lighting.The downside: More expensive at 15 per person. Abysmal service and you have to go to the front desk for anything. Both mics had dead bacteries when we started. English song selection was worse.Overall, try to book a room next door if you can.

April 2023:Reservations were easy to make and were honoured for a Saturday night. Room was clean and system was easy to use after they explained it to us. English song selection was good, contrary to what other comments say. We sang a mix of 90s-2000s rock (Weezer, Linkin Park, MCR, Green Day), recent pop (Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift), 2000s R&B (Usher, NeYo), and recent hip hop (Lil Uzi, Kanye, Drake). One of our mics died once but they quickly replaced it.They do take credit card (I paid both cash and credit) but I was definitely overcharged, I think in the form of automatic tip. Overall I had a great time but I wish pricing was more transparent.

2.5/5 I visited 8090 Karaoke twice, and the second time I was disappointed to find out that they only accepted cash, despite accepting cards during my first visit (Dec 2022). It would have been more convenient if they had informed us beforehand. Their ATM is like $6 charge! To add to the inconvenience, they charged sales tax and gratuity on top of the payment, without any compensation for the inconvenience of cash only. Furthermore, the process of searching for songs was a bit of a nightmare. However, I must admit that the venue itself is aesthetically pleasing. In fact, it’s likely the most visually stunning karaoke place in Toronto. Only pros are that it looks nice and you can stay until close. But tbh I’d go somewhere else for karaoke

Lots of issues: the bar staff had nooo idea what was going on. Took them several mins just to hand me a bottle. Bar was way overpriced. Song list was lacking. Our room had no heat turned on and everyone was wearing their coats. Even the bar staff was wearing their coats! The door to our room wouldn’t stay shut and we could hear the other rooms as a result.

I'll start by saying the wings are good....VERY GOOD and well priced!!!!Outside of that, I was not impressed by this place at all. The sound system in the room was very bad, we could barely hear the music through the speakers. The microphones constantly didn't work and required need new batteries.The music selection was decent except for the odd remakes that were unexpected. The accompanying videos were highly interesting; one, in particular, was Sisquo's Thong Song with a fully dress European Woman walking, smiling, and walking through some random city....I guess you could say it was better than the original video lolThe drinks were super expensive and a can of ginger ale was $6.85....that's madness for 355ml lolOverall, our friends made the night memorable enjoyable but I will not return to this spot for karaoke....just a to-go order of the wings!

The service here is garbage, don’t come here unless you like being scammed. I order 8 chicken fingers and then they give me chicken nuggets and tell me they’re fingers. Then they don’t give out full information on spending requirements so we paid $500 for nothing when we could have been ordering food and drinks to reach the $500. These people are a bunch of goofs
