Sansotei Ramen Sainte-Catherine
I love the cozy vibe in the restaurant. 4 year ago I have been to Osaka and Kyoto and I had lots of different ramen almost every meal. Since then I’m a ramen holic. I tried 4 restaurants of Japanese ramen in Montreal and this one was the most similar ramen that I had in Japan. The broth was sometimes too salty. Fried chicken was tender and juicy and crispy outside.

My wife and visited the establishment during our trip in Montreal. Their location is very small, yet they’re very busy. We opted to seat on the bar by front window overlooking the street for seating. We ordered ramens and fried chicken. The ramen broth were quite tasty and definitely the perfect pairing for cold weather. This place is good and definitely recommended!

I went a Monday night with a group of 5. We had to wait a but since the place is quite small. They have nice varieties of ramen options and a great variety of drinks as well . Their match drink was excellent and the service was good as well. Their fried chicken is a must as well.

One of the best Ramen spots I have ever been to.I am a Chef and I was blown away with the flavors, speed and service.I cannot wait until I come back again!Thank you so much for such a great meal

Sansotei Ramen Sainte-Catherine
This place is absolutely fantastic. I got lucky and the restaurant was the closest to my hotel. Walked in for an early dinner and was seated immediately. I ordered the Spicy Slow Cooked Wings and Tonkotsu Black. I was very amazed with how fast everything came out. Beyond that, the food was excellent. I really enjoyed both dishes.The staff was fantastic and helpful as well. This will be a regular for me when traveling to MTL.

The food was decent. The broth was a bit salty, glad that we ordered the seaweed salad to have with the noodles. The texture were a bit “boring”, after the first few bites it felt like having instant ramen noodles. I used to have ramen where they add corn, beansprout, fungus and other stuffs to give the bowl more texture. The servers were friendly and service was really fast. Mainly because they wanted you to finish so they can get the table for the next customers. It is understandable tho since they seem pretty busy most of the time. The dessert were pretty good.

Sansotei Ramen Sainte-Catherine
Before I begin, I have eaten from this place a select dozen times and was my favourite ramen place until now but something changed recently in their broth that drastically decreased the standard of their ramen. The broth lost all complexity and flavour profile and is now diluted and flavourless. It used to be thick, rich and creamy filled with flavour but I guess to increase the supply to their growing popularity, they have had to reduce the quality of their food. I tried a bunch of their appetizers recently and am quite literally disappointed as all of them tasted like they were taken straight from a frozen bag. Very disappointed because it used to be the best bowl of ramen in town and now it’s junk, and for a higher prince difference too. I don’t think I will ever be returning unless they bring the old soup base back. I’ve had friends who have tried the old soup testify to this and many agree with my opinion that the quality has decreased

Right in downtown Montreal, the corner where festival du jazz was held.Delicious ramen, eggs were perfect, noodles were chewy not soggy (you can choose if you'd like thick or thin noodles).They were able to seat me by myself in the window.
