PODS Moving & Storage

Used their website to get a quote, and am now getting constantly spammed by them, in violation of Canada's anti-spam laws. No respect for people's time. Will never use or recommend. Disgusting.

Well I had my POD delivered sometime in the summer of 2021, I was moving into my in-laws and needed to pack pretty much my entire 3 bedroom home into my container. The container sat in my driveway for 3 maybe 4 months and my husband being the clean freak that he is strategically packed our conatiner from the very back and to the top all the way to the front. My jewerly box that conatined at least $10 000.00 in watches about $8000.00 in bracelets and earrings, and that was one of the first items placed in the very back underneath my kitchen table and beind my couch. Now when we got the container delivered which was January 28th 2023 my lock was cut off and the first thing that fell out was my EMPTY JEWERLY BOX!!!!!!!! That wasent my only surprize the rest of my storage container has been RANSACKED!!! Ive just begun to empty it and had to stop to write this review. My 55' TV which was still there ive plugged in and its destroyed CLEARLY HAS KICK mark right in the screen. Heres just one photo to show you a example of how my container has been RANSACKED AND STOLEN OUT OF. FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE OUT THERE LOOKING AT POSSIBLY USING THESE PEOPLES SERVICE, I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT UNLESS YOU WANT THE LOCK CUT OFF, EVERYTHING OF VALUE STOLEN AND THE REST DESTROYED, PUT YOUR STUFF IN A STORAGE UNIT. ITS MUCH SAFER

This company is useless for anyone actually moving. If your move is more than 100km from the storage site they don't deliver. There are postal codes they don't deliver to at all. All of this is hidden in the fine print and the only thing they ask is whether the delivery is more or less then 50mi. Having to go get my stuff cost me an extra 1000 dollars. Don't use them.

We had our Pod dropped off Friday for our Move Saturday. We called for pickup loaded it up and still hasn’t been picked up. We called customer service waiting 2 hours to get ahold of anyone on the phone. We stressed how it’s a priority to get the bin picked up since we aren’t living there anymore with all our belongings sitting there. The agent told us it would be picked up late last night or first thing in the morning. Here we are 6.30 at night no pickup and no one will answer there phones on customer service. Been on hold for 3 hours haven’t spoke to anyone. Don’t recommend this service for anyone. After reading all the reviews not posted on there actually page I see nothing but terrible reviews and they hide all the bad remarks. “Refund never came”. “Can’t get ahold of them on the phone”. People waiting an entire year and still never got refunded what a joke. Bin “miss placed at facility”

PODS is easy easy easy from start to finish. The ability to manage every stage online was a bonus. I used PODS to store a portion of my furniture while my house was being staged. Rather than loading a truck going to self storage unloading and then loading again and taking to my new place - I just booked a POD loaded on one end and then a few weeks later unloaded on the other end. My whole experience was positive - I would definitely recommend this service.

Feels like a scam. We close on our home tomorrow and our pod was set to be picked up on the 7th but is still sitting in our driveway. Not only has it been impossible to reach anyone but the problem has still not been rectified. This is very unprofessional. We went through Pods for convenience and it has been nothing but. Will not be using them again in the future.Hoping we get ahold of someone asap and our pod gets picked up TODAY.

Deciding to use PODS for my move was a fantastic decision. It took all the time pressure off for packing and cleaning as I could do it in stages. Once it was time to move I just put in the order and it was set. I used a local moving crew to help unload on the other end.I can't imagine moving any other way now.

POD was our first choice for its flexibility to load our belongings at our own pace and for the price. We used it to move from one province to another. And oh man the entire experience was so smooth and perfect! I spoke to many customer service reps over the phone since we were nervous about the big move and each one of them was direct, friendly and responsive. The drop off and pick up was always on time and the drivers were super friendly. Absolutely no issues and I will definitely recommend them for a big move!

Super easy to book and the service was great and on time. The cost was very reasonable and made storing our larger items while we staged our home for listing very easy.

The staff were wonderful on the phone, but as Canadians we are unable to make changes to bookings online through the chat-it had to be done over the phone. I was very surprised by the final price because there were no estimates given before hand. I did appreciate the ease of time that we had to load and unload the pod while it was parked in the driveway.
