Stopped for a late lunch on our way to Cape Breton and so glad we did.We continued to rave about the winter salad we shared days later!BLT sandwich of the day, crispy chicken sandwich, steak sandwich special all delicious.Service was friendly and super efficient. Our server was juggling indoor and outdoor tables and made it look easy.We were sorry to have not gotten her name.Thank you!

Our first food stop on our latest trip to Nova Scotia and this was a pleasant surprise. We sat outside on the patio, enjoyed our witty server and the comfort food and drinks. Live music wafted through the window.

Cozy Ambiance with Room for Improvement:During my recent visit to The Nook and Cranny Restaurant, I appreciated the cozy ambiance and warm atmosphere that enveloped the place. The rustic decor and friendly staff contributed to a pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant had its charms, the food left me wanting more. The flavors were decent, but lacked that extra something to make them truly memorable. The menu offered a variety of options, but some of the dishes seemed uninspired and fell short of expectations. On a positive note, the service was attentive and the waitstaff displayed good knowledge of the menu. They were friendly and accommodating, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. With a bit of improvement in the culinary department, The Nook and Cranny Restaurant has the potential to elevate its dining experience to match its cozy ambiance.

Had their pan fried haddock with Spanish rice and mango, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Also tried the cranberry coconut chicken which was extravagantly good.

Ate at the bar and the service from Taylor was great. The crab dip was excellent but the Digby scallops and shrimp were disappointing. The Alfredo sauce was “burnt” tasting on two tries. It looked good but tasted awful. I should have tried the cranberry coconut chicken as recommended.

Food is okay if you are hungry. Chowder is like half bowl but fish&chips are huge but oily. Service could be better.

We just ate at The Nook and Cranny and everything about our experience was AMAZING! Three of us just had a big bike ride, and we had our 70lb dog with us. The staff was incredibly accommodating for our doggo and gave her so much love. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We had nachos, onion rings, a burger, Caesar salad, and fish and chips. Each item was yummy. The patio is gorgeous too. Highly recommend!!! :)

This is a great place to eat and drink. Food is fantastic and you can try four different beers at once. Service is also friendly. I strongly recommend.
