They only had a pizza menu but the pizza was seriously lacking in toppings. Gimmicky names for pizzas that look sad. I think there was almost 2 inches between individual toppings. Had their meat pizza wife had the pear one. They're new so I'd give it another shot but it's lacking. Had a cocktail the flipped golf cart and it had no garnish. Just wasting opportunities here to make memorable drinks and experience. Maybe use names that make sense and focus on your product more. Waitress greeted us immediately and was quick to get drinks and take order. She had dark hair and was perhaps mid 20's to 30. Sadly didn't get her name to offer a kudos.

I was in Baddeck for a little over a week visiting my family.I came here 4 times. Once for drinks and to watch the Jays game. Another time for lunch to watch tennis and the first time to have pizza my brother was so excited to show off.Wonderful place and the best place to get a beer. Great selection of local craft beer and very well priced.

Best Apple Crisp I've ever tasted. Loved Tara's dip and a great selection of NS beers and wine. Casual, fun atmosphere. Will be back for some patio time!

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! whom ever is working today at this time 5 pm Sept 10 2022. This rude lady in her 40s maybe 50s had a mean and rude body language and did not seem approachable. I asked for water and she gave me a look that I was a bother to her. It's no wonder no one is there right now. these owners are doomed if they have a team member like that.. sometimes you don't need to say anything to make anyone feel uncomfortable. her demeanor and attitude like she could roll her eyes at you.. Well I guess my money is no good here if she cannot be bothered for anything.. GOOD LUCK BILLY BISTRO! WE will not be coming back and while we sat outside we had 4 friends from the area tell us their horrible experiences and it gave us anxiety and so we decided to leave! Unless there's a huge change in the training for customer service and a menu change up. We might come back if you set your worker straight to be more kind..

Stopped in for lunch for the first time, needless to say I will be returning and recommending this place to everyone!Beyond amazing food with lovely presentation. The service was phenomenal, waitresses were super kind &sweet. They did an amazing job describing the menu and what top food they have considering this was my first experience there and I didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat in Baddeck! From Billy Bistro & Pub is where it's at, 10/10.

Incompetence. Sunday evening, told menu was limited to pizza and wait could be an hour. We like pizza and were grateful to find a seat and order a drink, as the few establishments in the area had long lines and waits. Server was cordial and polite, but also actively seeking empathy for a difficult evening. This became the theme of the night! After an hour, still no food. Each question was greeted with pleas for understanding; after about 70 minutes the table across from us was served, despite arriving later. Perhaps they transfered from inside to the patio?? We didn't accuse, just asked for status of order. More excuses; backlog of take out, ran out of pans, one cook, etc. After 90 minutes we were prepared to pay for our drinks and leave. More promises food was on its way. Luckily, a new crew of people had joined the patio as tables turned over, and there was jovial conversation. During this time, the server spent more time addressing and turning patrons away than tending to tables, each time delivering the “pizza only” message with less friendliness! As two hours approached, I asked exactly how many pizzas were ahead of us. She asked which one we ordered, then checked the kitchen and reported it was browning. By this time sun had set, mosquitoes were out, and we wanted to be gone, we ate in less than10 minutes! Went to pay the bill and she could not find our order. As we left, we noticed a table who arrived an hour later had already been served, but the couple who arrived 15 minutes before them had not. Only then did I realize what had happened. Our order was never submitted, and we were given the other couple's pizza. Sure enough, we ran into the couple the next day. They told us THEIR order was lost, but they were given a free pizza for the long wait. I said let me guess, it was the mushroom pepperoni! it was! This is a small establishment, and our server was responsible for 5 tables! It was complete incompetence, not to have actually checked on the order at any time through the evening! Her “go to” was excuses.

Do not recommend, this was the second time we have visited this restaurant and after this time we will never go back. We ordered a vegetarian lasagna and it was mushy tomato sauce with a few onions in it. 2 maybe 3 noodles that were apparently house made but were 1/2 inch thick and dense making it a very chewy consistency. The bread that came with it was hard to bite/cut/ or anything as it was rock solid. The server never asked us how it was and actually never came back to the table. We watched the two waitresses sit at the bar and eat the whole time and acted like we were an inconvenience when we walked up to pay because we were going elsewhere. When informed the food was not good nothing was said or done. Very disappointing!
