I had a great experience with Moe from Fair Tax Canada. Everything was sent remotely and he was efficient and professional. Communication was open and fast and my taxes were done in hours. Deifnetly reccommend for all your taxes needs. Thanks Moe!!

The main problem with Moe is that he does not pay attention to detail and is not your advocate. He made me many costly errors on both my US and Canada returns and caused a lot of anxiety (I have been dealing with one issue after the next with both the CRA and IRS). I had to take my returns to another accountant so they could explain what he did wrong, which cost me even more money. This is not to mention his terrible customer service skills; he is not willing to provide explanations and treats you poorly. He might be cheaper for cross-border taxes, but you pay for what you get and in the long run, he will cost you more. I am sure I am not the only person adversely affected by his carelessness and indifference.

I am working with Moe for many years now and never was disappointed. He is very straight forward and he looks for the right answer. He never compromise. He doesn’t mind to spend time on your file as long as you are willing to provide the correct papers. Usually does not charge for overtime work. He is very prompt with his email and phone calls.

Nothing positive to say here, but read on for more details.I found this business few months ago via google and despite some critical reviews decided to give it a try since the claim was the business is affordable and has good knowledge of tax situations in Canada/US.Initial few emails with the Business Owner (Moe) were alright and I paid a retainer of 500$.Thereafter the Owner has been rude and too succinct in emails. For instance, in reply to my questions, the Owner said why dont you read emails properly". On another instance I actually called the business office by phone and I was rudely told to not call without permission and instead email. To be fair

Moe is a great guy! He helped me out big time by filing a last minute income tax return on Christmas eve when every other place was closed. Because of this, I was able to avoid having to pay back over $3000 of OSAP grant money, which would have converted into a loan.

I have been doing my business taxes with Moe for 19 years. He is always willing to come in (even on a Sunday this past April ) to help me get organized. He is very much to the point and never wastes time. He is a serious man, and that is why I go there. I want a serious, experienced person filing my return. Not a young seasonal employee like I find you find at the mall kiosks.

I used Moe for many years, on a couple of those years he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I still kept going because he had all of my information so I thought it’s just easier. This year as I opened a small business I spoke with him several times about the circumstances around opening my business and being closed 6 weeks later due to the restrictions put in place 20/21. We communicated on email a couple of times regarding this also. I explained to him I’ve never done business taxes before, he told me to call him and he would walk me through it. I then called him, he screamed and yelled at me and gave me a quote of $400 more than the previous quote he gave me. He wouldn’t allow me to speak or explain anything, just kept yelling at me and denying the things he had already wrote in email. A friend was able to refer me to someone else, also a small business owner. I will never ever return to Fair Tax. Not only is Moe dishonest, he’s unhinged.

We have been using Moe for some times now and the experience has been great. It helps to have Moe's accounting experience in looking at your documents and assess them. His expertise is a plus. Considering that most accountant are not as approachable, Moe rates the highest among his peers in the accounting field. Moe, we appreciate the work you do and keep it up. Social distancing has not deterred your professionalism and you are as reachable as always. You are the best!Thank you again for all the work continue doing for us.
