The Royal Oak - Orleans
This was my first time here: A vibrant atmosphere indeed. From a verbal altercation quickly diffused by an awesome waitress to a stranger who I assume is a regular, offering everyone sitting at the bar a round of pilsner. The lobster rolls were not very good but the fries were great. I have been advised, that the fish & chips are the go to here, that's what I'll get next time.

Food left a weird taste in my mouth for hours after, kind of like a fast food aftertaste.Poor waitresses were swept off their feet by the number of customers - we waited at least 45 minutes from finishing our food to paying the bill. It was very slow service, but the waitress was nice and refilled my drink plenty of times.Unfortunately both partner and I felt sick the evening of and the next morning after our meal. So not a great experience, but the ambiance of the pub is nice.

Yummy fish and chips, but it was definitely more pricey than I remember it being in the past. Service was fast, and our waiter was very friendly and accommodating to our larger party.Only negative comment I have it that the late night live music was so loud. We were trying to have a conversation and it was hard to hear each other.

Awesome staff, good chill crowd. PET FRIENDLY patio, staff is so nice to pets as well; water bowls treats… etcChorizo burger is the Bomba!!

The place itself wasn't too bad, we went on a Saturday night and were surprised at how empty it was. The surprise quickly left after we received our food. The food wasn't terrible but when you charge $9.50 for an order of Zucchini Sticks it's expected that you'll receive more than 7 small sticks. To serve that few is dishonest and just taking advantage of your customers. With portion sizes like this I don't expect this place to survive the summer. I know I won't return.

Great food, good service only thing that disappointed me was the was only one waiter for the whole restaurant (bar and food)when it was really busy. But really impressed with the service even if we did had to wait a long time.

We went for Lobsterfest tonight in Orleans. So so good. Party of five. Had Lobster rolls, Grilled cheese and lobster and fish and chips. Service was amazing too.

I love the Royal Oak and I think I’ve been to all of them. Good pub food, good atmosphere and great service. I especially like their larger patio.

Great local pub! Food was excellent; I had the steak & mushroom pub pie and it was delicious! Very flavourful and nice flaky crust! Came with a lovely side salad. The house dressing is creamy, which is my preference. The only downside was the parking lot. Lots of large potholes. Hope it gets fixed soon.
