Beautiful 200 year old chapel with a rich history from ww1 and ww2. Boats hanging from the ceiling were given to sailors who took refuge during ww1.

This place is a museum and also one of the oldest cathedral in Montreal. My wife and I parked our car nearby and she saw many people goes through the bug red door outside this cathedral and she decided to check it out. That was when we found out what an amazing place this is. We didn’t have to buy any ticket to view the chapel, but a donation box and gift shop is available inside. The museum is ticket only and didn’t go inside the museum.

Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
One of the oldest chapels in Montreal, this building has beautiful architecture. It's relatively small, but worth poking around if you're in Old Montreal. There is no admission fee, but they ask for a donation. There's a lot of history here and there's a few plaques that provide a few brief descriptions of major events.

The museum is a hidden treasure and a must-visit in Vieux Montréal! The ticket price is modest. It's amazing to learn about the history of their innovative approach to female pedagogy centuries ago, and how they applied science and technology into the education in the 18th century when that was not the norm at all. The cellar was impressive! Marvelled at how thick the stone wall was, and they put a Christmas tree there to add to the holiday vibe. And don't miss the belvédère at the top of the chapel - you don't need to go to the ferris wheel for a great view of Vieux-Port! Note that the staircase to the top is quite narrow and steep.

Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
One of the city’s oldest churches, dating back to 1771 with a foundation that dates back to 1673. It’s a bit of a hidden gem when compared to the other big relics in Montréal such as the Basilica and the Cathedral. We were lucky enough to arrive amidst a choir rehearsal and it was so special, very spiritual vibe, no words can describe. It gave me goosebumps for life. Free entrance.

Great chapel and definitely less tourists than Notre Dame, would encourage a donation. You can say a prayer and take your time to admire the wonders of all that the chapel provides. It's serene and the music played when I was there was live not a recording which demonstrated great acoustic surroundings

Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
Beautiful and meaningful place, where you can learn about the history of the city, its founder and her legacy. The chapel itself is free to visit, and there's also a paid museum dedicated to the history and legacy of Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys, with a particular focus on her work on education, as well to the history of the city of Montreal. The museum contains plenty of artifacts from the 17th century onwards, as well as detailed and insightful information on them and their history and relevance. There were also some interactive experiences. If you visit Montreal you must visit this Chapel, and I recommend you visit the Museum too, it's great to experience the living legacy of a person ingrained in a building they founded, I'm not a believer, but this Chapel made me appreciate greatly the person Saint Marguerite was, I can only imagine the effect of visiting the resting place of a Saint can have for a Catholic. The chapel is within walking distance to many other attractions and restaurants, so there's no excuse to avoid it.

Really nice historical church that has been preserved amazingly. A must-visit for tourists in the area. The Site Marguerite Bourgeoys is a great museum to visit in the same building ad the chapel. It contains many historical artifacts and a nice view of downtown from the tower.
