Smith Street Lofts
The worst place we ever rented. Lots of noises: snow/gravel clearing machines, garbage removal, gym equipment droppings - can hear everything. Washing machine is the 2 in 1 kind that takes forever to wash and never get clothes dry. We have to use public laundry (and pay for it) for everything, even though they told us it’s for bulky loads only. Would never move in if knew that. Just in general, cheap materials, tiny bathroom, lots of maintenance happening in the building, maintenance workers might come announced at most inconvenient times. Management has been ignorant to our complaints.

I lived on the 9th floor when it was the old building and this is totally what the downtown area needed to bring back life into the downtown area and with all of the new buildings being constructed downtown people are gonna need somewhere to live, well apparently their are discussions going on right now about the fate of the Boyd Building and they are thinking about turning it into loft style apartments and an above ground parkade beside it

A bit pricey, but absolutley worth it, specially considering:- The large number of amenities, and includes all services except TV and parking (TV you have to hire yourself, and they have parking but costs extra per month).- The staff is super friendly and helpfull.- The building is pet-friendly.- Security 24/7.When I moved to Winnipeg I visited several properties looking to rent, and Smith Street Lofts, was the absolute best. None of that old hotel building that has been renovated" bs that you see around Winnipeg Downtown
