Zing Landscaping & Design

Our project involved a significant dig to create a patio in the back yard outside our newly installed walkout doors. Mike guided us through the design of the patio, and recommended the material/stones for the high retaining walls and terraces. The overall effect of the finished product is stunning. Mike and Wayne were at all times a pleasure to work with, and the job was started and completed on schedule. I highly recommend Zing for your landscaping projects!

Finding a landscaping team to tackle our summer project during COVID-19 was one hell of an adventure in itself but we couldn't be happier after we were able to both find Zing through Instagram and squeeze ourselves into the busy schedule this year. We were impressed by the craftsmanship and designs of their projects, and going in our only hesitation was that being design-minded ourselves we wanted a lot of control over the look of the space. Our first few meetings with Mike were great, and over the course of the project he proved to be super accommodating while the team was incredibly hard-working and polite. Zing was able to bring our designs to life with virtual millimetre accuracy, and it felt much more like a collaboration rather than the usual back-and-forth approval process. Mike and Wayne had great suggestions for us, particularly with our property's issue with rain water management, that have worked great during a few heavy storms so far. With two weeks remaining in the allotted time for our project we completely changed the front garden design, and it was great to have Mike immediately start imagining things on site to see how we could make it work rather than push back and compromise on our admittedly last-second vision. The outcome was stellar, and passers-by are stopping to take pictures of Zing's work on a daily basis. We would highly recommend working with the team.

Mike and team worked with us to remove our dated garage and design and build a stylish new carport and shed along with landscaping around it. Beyond the design and structural work the team also did stone work, drainage system install, artificial turf install and outdoor lighting design and install.We are extremely happy both with the end result and with the clear communication and collaborative approach Mike took in working with us throughout to ensure that we were 100% aligned on the vision and that his team could execute it. This was especially important because like many semi-detached East York lots ours is small enough that inches matter on a project like this and we are all living in each other's pockets so collaboration with neighbors was equally key. For similar reasons I think we all appreciated the speed with which the team executed once on site with everything being wrapped up in advance of our own personal deadlines.I would not hesitate to recommend the team at Zing Landscaping & Design for your next big project.

We hired Mike and his team to redesign and redo our front yard, and every step of the way, Mike and crew were absolutely incredible. Mike and the whole team from Zing are AmaZING!! After having some not so pleasant experiences with other contractors and service providers, we were hesitant to start another big project. From our first meeting with Mike, we felt confident that we had made the correct choice. Mike communicated with us throughout the whole process even prior to the initial start date. We had a few project hiccups that were beyond Mike’s control; however, he handled them with professionalism and adjusted to the changes as they occurred. He and his team provided great recommendations for any adjustments that needed to be made on site.Besides the impeccable craftsmanship and professionalism, Mike and his team were extremely clean while working outside of our house. The worksite was always left tidy and clean so that it was not an eye sore for us or the neighbours. After having used a previous contractor for our laneway (who we parted ways with) we were expecting the front of our house to be a disaster. That was not the case!I would highly recommend Zing to anyone looking to have work done. It is a great feeling to have confidence in a contractor’s ability to deliver what you are looking for.

Mike and his team at Zing were fantastic to work with. Mike had incredible vision as to what could be when he looked at our blank slate back yard and quickly put together a design drawing that was better than we could have dreamed. The project involved significant grading, large stone patio, large herringbone driveway and garden beds. While doing the work, the team were friendly, tidy, incredibly hard working and focused on every detail. It was really a pleasure to have them around for the duration of the project. We would definitely recommend Zing for any landscaping work. We struggled for years to grow grass in our yard and finally gave up, contacting Zing after seeing them working in the neighbourhood. They are friendly, professional and responsive. They worked with us to design something that would meet our needs, taking time to listen and ensure we were completely satisfied. We wanted a nice balance of garden and slate patio and walkway. They are knowledgeable about the products, techniques and design elements, and have very hardworking and capable workers. We now have a lovely backyard oasis thanks to Zing! We were very happy with the results and would not hesitate to have them back in the future.
