Calypso Theme Waterpark
Calypso water park is a fun-filled, thrilling adventure that is perfect for all ages. The moment you enter the park, you are greeted with the sound of splashing water and the smell of sunscreen. You can feel the excitement building as you see the towering water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools all around you. The colorful slides twist and turn, tempting you to take the plunge. The lazy river gently carries you along, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery. The wave pool creates an ocean-like experience with waves that crash against you, making you feel like you're actually at the beach. As you explore all the different attractions, you can't help but feel the joy and laughter that surrounds you. Calypso water park truly is the perfect place to beat the heat and make unforgettable memories with friends and family.

It was really good when it first opened, gotten worst over time. Staff is ok young kids who don't really care. Landscape is mediocre, needs lots of care. Rides are good, kids love them. There is always a funny sewer smell. Lazy river is dirty I mean discusting you can find anything in there even used tampon. Compare to other water parks this place can really use help given its the biggest water park.

It's definitely worth the trip, the slides are very exciting. This water park is suitable for all ages, so even adults can have some fun too. We always have a great time with each visit.I would recommend buying tickets online as it is faster at the entrance, plus you save $5 on each ticket you purchase online. Very clean, helpful staff.Life jackets for all ages on site.

The good thing about calypso is that you don't really need to do all the extreme attractions they have to enjoy this place. It gets crowded but the park has lots of spaces and pools for every age that you won't be disappointed. Bring your food for a picnic or buy local food . It is not expensive and there are several restaurants and tables around.

Calypso is the go-to water park for my family. We go once a year, but we haven't been there since 2020 and it's nice to see they added and upgraded stuff! They upgraded the lockers. You no longer need a key or go to the boutique to rent a locker -- but that also means that the deposit-money-back when you return the key is gone. They have a machine to rent a locker by the lockers where you set up your own code to open your assigned locker. $15 for small locker, $25 for big.Calypso is unfortunately known for their long line ups. 20 min wait in line to get to the property, 15 min wait to scan our tickets, line ups for the bathroom, line ups for renting lockers, lineups for food, line ups to leave-- and or course, long lineups for the rides. You can expect to wait more than a hour to get on a ride.I wish their was a premium price or a skip-the-line option for those who pay for season passes or upgraded tickets.Otherwise, it is a fun place suitable for all ages.

My Family and I decided to try this Waterpark instead of some others we have been to in the States. We went on a Friday in hopes that it would be less busy and nailed it! We arrived around 9:15am before the park opened and had plenty of time to rent a locker and get a decent place to sit. The park is amazing with plenty of seating near the wave pool and picnic tables everywhere! We were able to do the complete park within 4 hours and loved it.The water was heated on all the rides but a few which was nice since it was a bit windy. The workers do not seem to have much to say and mostly allow you to be free to do what you want. The park was clean and the food was not bad at all with fair prices. Our kids loved the park and we all want to visit again. I would highly recommend this water park!

Great for adventure seekers and a relaxing time or both in the same visit. Huge slides and 2 lazy rivers. Line ups exist, but they're not bad.Cost wise: I would certainly recommend getting a season's pass, it includes parking. Pays for itself in less than 2 visits.

Off season has long line ups which means peak season is going to be busy.Food prices are reasonable yet bringing your own cooler filled with food and drinks will save you $$$Be prepared to wait in line for the slides.Your children will definitely learn patience with waiting at Calypso. The rides are great staff are helpful. The park is clean.Great shade for the picnic tables.Great lawn chairs. The wave pool is usually always filled with people. There's something for everyone to enjoy. There's a list of things your not allowed in the park make sure to read it yet for the most part it's pretty flexible.

We went to this water park on a weekday, hoping to see less lines. Unfortunately it was still crowded. In the afternoon there was not enough life jackets for kids near the attractions. The park itself is amazing, clean, stuff is friendly. It’s a good idea to buy your tickets online in advance to save time standing in the ticket line, and the tickets are 5CAD cheaper on their website.

I took my two sons to Calypso water park on July 5th. It was the big day of our trip (first of many to come) to Ottawa to visit our oldest son. I called the day before to find out what time we could enter the park to get settled in before it got busy. Cara, the person I spoke to, told us that the doors would open at 9, but the slides opened at 10. So we arrived at 9 to set up in our Cabana, which I purchased for almost $200. What Cara didn’t tell us was that there were more “doors”, once inside the park. And those were locked until 10. So we had to sit in 80 degrees heat for one hour between the front doors and the doors to the Cabanas / inside park. We decided this was a good time to get a locker, which we purchased for $15. At the information booth for the Cabanas, Amanda did not mention that there was a locker in each Cabana. So that was money wasted. The cabanas were advertised as being private, but that was not the case. No one enforced the rules, and people were sitting on the steps of our cabana and stored their bags on the sides of it, making the nearly $200 rental cost for the day an absolute waste of money. My next step is to contact the park and ask to have the Cabana cost refunded, as there was no privacy, as advertised. The rides were awesome and the staff in the park, that we encountered, were extremely courteous and helpful.
