My car has been untouched since August 31st. There is absolutely no communication between Intact and the 2 garages my car had to be towed to. I've had to be the go between and I feel like if I didn't keep calling Nothing would be getting done. The preferred garage my car has been sitting at for the past week and a half is still waiting for approval. They have tried getting responses from Intact the entire time. The garage it was at before that got fed up. I thought that insurance companies were supposed to make accident claims stress free and do all the work for you. This has been anything but that. I've started having panic attacks and have to go on medication because of the stress this has given me. I'm absolutely appalled with the lack of service. The insurance company didn't even know my car was towed to one of their preferred garages even though I told one of their appraisers. I'm about to cancel the claim and get a loan to fix my car. If I don't I'll never get my car back! This is absolutely unacceptable.

Really pleased with the insurance claims representative named Gail O’Niel,She was super helpful with any related issues I had during the period of time I have been struggling post car accident.She is very active and was responsive and timely with helping me resolve my concerns. She was also very fair and just.I would recommend this insurance company mainly because of people like her. I would like to acknowledge all of her efforts, because not a lot of people really care now a days truly and are just after what is best for their own self. She is a very empathetic person and does her job well.I would recommend Intact insurance to my family and friends.

Such a joke - Modern Times Mafia.Working with unprofessional Bianca Prevost from Mirabel and the least I can say is that they do not consider us as customers.10 days to respond to an email only to say that she did not even open the documents we sent at the first place.We faced water damage in our living room that was coming from our roof and they decided to go and open 2 claims instead of one.. so that our deductible becomes not $1,000 but now $2,000.Construction expert" ONSIDE

This is the worst experience with insurance I have had. We recently renewed our policy for the year and wanted to simply switch from annual to monthly payments as we were getting a new car later this year and would be changing things up. We sent our payment information in three times and they continued to claim they didn’t receive it. Then they tried canceling our policy for non-payment even though we had the money sitting there waiting for them. I had enough and shopped around for new insurance and found that every place I checked was at least $200-$300 less a year. Not some places, EVERY PLACE. There are many better options. Save yourself the stress. I know a few people with Intact, including the company I work for uses them for our work trucks, and I have recommended they all switch companies based on this experience.

I recommend Intact insurance to everyone looking for an insurance company, whether it is for car insurance or home insurance. I am one of their clients and I have had a very good experience dealing with the claim department. The staff members whom I had to deal with, were all very competent, efficient, and attentive to my needs. Their service was excellent, and I am impressed.

Unfortunately the nightmare just seems to continue related to the accident in Massachusetts.Dealing with Insurance Companies is bad enough but you really find out how good your company is when you really need them.I cannot recommend Intact Insurance Company to anyone…even people whom I dislike.I think it’s possible that I am the first Canadian ever to have a NO FAULT accident in the USA. They simply are so befuddled by what to do and my Adjuster could possibly be the least committed person to their job that I have ever met.I have been ignored, made to feel like I am the guilty party, given contradictory information and then to top it off I am spending much of my holiday time trying to provide information that my Adjuster should be doing…if I could ever reach them.Accident happened on July 16th, adjuster contacted me on the 27th for the very first time and basically told me point blank that the rental car must be returned 2 days after they discuss a settlement with me, and that I will need to pay the deductible even though I was not at fault. (Other driver charged with Impaired, Fleeing the Scene, and one other charge). Nothing about helping me or explaining the process until I asked then I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them!!Told my truck was being towed to Canada then they did not know where it is and now it was towed 10 miles from the accident scene…so, still in Massachusetts.Asked to speak to a Manager at the Ottawa Office, and was told that I would contacted in 24-48hrs. Called after 48hrs and told they sent another email and wait another 24-48hrs…so will be waiting until sometime next week now.I was also told they could not track down the Insurance Policy # for the accused and I found out myself that it is registered to his Company name not to him personally but cannot even communicate that to my Adjuster or Manager because no one calls me back.I have never been so disappointed with Customer Service and quality service, not to mention the level of professionalism from Intact.Visit their website where they boast about taking care of their customers and being there for them when there is an accident. Nothing but lies and deception to get your money.I know others may have good stories to tell about Intact Insurance but this is my story and if anything, I am only mentioning half of the frustrating things that have happened due to not wanting to bore everyone.Thanks for allowing me to vent!!Oh yeah, just for extra entertainment my Adjuster asked me some questions concerning my ‘Lariat’. I had to let them know that a ‘Lariat’ is a Ford truck and my truck is a Dodge. They laughed, for some reason they though that was funny. If incompetence is funny than my Adjuster should be on AGT!!

I am very unhappy. Last week I had a payment that bounced (it comes out of an account I don't use very often and just didn't catch which is on me). I put the money in the account the very next day. A week later I get an email from my commercial truck leasing company that they've been notified my policy is cancelled.I called my broker and they hadn't even been notified of it and neither had I. I hope my broker is able to get this resolved. Not even an email or phonecall to tell me, just went and emailed my lease provider. Shame on you. Happy to take my money but the second you have to provide a slight bit of customer service you're not interested. I'm disgusted, I wish there was some reform in the insurance industry. Enjoy all the free money you get from me you crooks.

Intact insurance has had my car for 5 months. I have received two phone calls from them in 5 months. It has been one week away for 6 weeks.They take no responsibility for updating you about progress. They do not call their clients to inform them of delays. They have been an absolute nightmare in every wayI would never recommend somebody use intact insurance. The overall level of customer service is pretty dire. It's not that people are rude or dismissive. It's that the company does as little as humanly possible to help It's clients.

Customer service at first is responsive and nice. Once you get to the core issue, it’s radio silence. Wouldn’t recommend this insurance service.
