Breathtaking experience!I had booked this as a Christmas gift for my partner and mom. This has been on my moms bucket list and it was a lovely experience from getting on the bus, to meeting the dogs, the professionalism from the staff, the ride and the drinks by the fire. This was worth every penny but definitely dress in layers and if you are set driving, double up on mitts!

I’ll just start with this was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip.My wife and I booked the self driven sled. And it was incredible.For arriving, make sure you are there AT LEAST 45 minutes early. At the 45 min mark they were calling and asking where I was (fortunately we were almost there). Parking is street parking (and you pay online or at the pay stations).Service from the group was incredible. They normally charge for warmer boots but because it was so cold they gave us them for FREE. (Even if they don’t offer them for free you should upgrade for the warmer boots).And then my main guide Will was so helpful and personable. When I mentioned my fingertips were kind of cold, he gave me a pair of his mittens that he said would work better (and they did).There was a total of 11 sleds with us. Every 3rd sled had a guide on it, and throughout the journey they stop and give us instructions or tips to make it through the next section.The views were incredible.The experience was awesome - truly a once in a lifetime type experience.The halfway mark of our trip was a path we drove on the frozen lake. This is where we stopped, got pictures, played with the dogs. Will even took some photos for us on our phones.The halfway mark was also where you could switch who was driving if both people wanted to drive.If you are nervous about driving a sled, don’t be worried. The dogs are pros and do most of the work. But if you can make a few calls (which they will teach you) and help run a bit when going uphill, then you will do great.Thanks to Will and the entire Snowy Owl team for making this experience great. If I could recommend one activity to do, it would be this!(Side note - this crew filmed and was in the Disney+ movie Togo. So we’re going to watch it as soon as we get home.)

The best!! Would give a 10-star if the rating goes that high.The experience was the highlight of our vacation here in Banff. All staffs from the checkin office downtown, to the bus, to the whole kennel crew were amazing.Of course, the dogs were the star of the show. All dogs were well-trained, adorable, and were so much fun going on the sled.Thank you our guide, Shane, for helping me on the ride and especially thank you our lead dogs Enoki and Rascal.Would definitely recommend this adventure and I’ll definitely do it again next time I’m back in Banff.

We had an amazing time with Snowy Owl! We did the Powder Express, which was plenty of time. They drove us all up to the starting point (so don’t worry if you don’t have a rental car) and taught us how to drive the sleds, and off we went! The dogs were all clearly well cared for, guides were well informed, and it was a great route. Would definitely recommend.

This was an AMAZING experience! Genuinely more amazing than I could even imagine! The team of guys were SO incredibly kind, informative, & you could tell really put the dogs first. I would HIGHLY recommend coming, & I will most likely return to experience this in the winter as well.

If you're in Banff and trying to do something other than skiing, then get those sweet buns over to Snowy Owl! Amazing experience! They let my wife and me drive our own sled with zero experience and guess what...we did pretty damn good. They're instructions were easy to follow and they made it super fun! Highly recommend this place!

What an AMAZING experience! Derrick our sled guide made it even more memorable. The dogs were ready to run and were so adorable! The views while sledding make it also a 10! No complaints other than I never wanted it to end.

So impressed with the organization, friendliness and communication of this place. Then on the tour, our guide, Benny, was so helpful, was excellent at explaining how to drive the sled and was always checking in to make sure we were good. I highly recommend the longer route because it’s a smaller group and the views are incredible once you separate from the group on the shorter tour. The dogs were the sweetest. Most would lean into you for extra love and give pup kisses. You could tell they loved being on the trails. The way Benny (and the whole team) spoke and looked out for the dogs you could tell they truly cared about them.

We had the BEST experience. Do not think twice about booking this experience, it was fantastic. The dogs are incredible, and our guide Tanner went over and beyond when one of our group lost their phone. Tanner calmly assured us we would find it and took us back out on the trail until we found it. They love the dogs and treat them so well. We were impressed and had a blast.
