Best Beef Jerky in town!!

I really didn't want to even select a star. I had Went to this place for my first time on Friday to purchase a large amount of hot dogs for a hot dog roast of about 60 people. The wife was a little stern with me when I was asking for Harvest and ended up suggesting Drake's instead. So i bought those. Went to cook them the following day for 60 people, opened one package and started to cook them and realized they were expired on Sept 11th. Did not feed them to our guests at all. We ended up throwing the cooked ones out. Everyone knows that a best before date can extend a bit, but this was over 10 days. They should have been marked that it was past the best before date number, plus a little frustrating as I drove over 1 hour to come to this place to pick them up. Yes i should have looked for a date as well but didn't expect that they would be expired from a butcher shop and was kinda in a bit of a rush. I called Monday and the wife answered and I had explained the issue to her, she asked if anyone got sick, i said i didn't feed them to anyone, she then say oh well what do you want then.I said well i would like to exchange them or get a refund. I was told to call back the next day to speak to her husband. I called them today and the husband picked up. I explain that I would like to exchange them or just get my money back if they do not have a fresh batch only for him to cut me off and say oh ya my wife told me about you. Then told the husband told me that its all in my head and i should have ate them as its just a best before date and if they were bad I would have been able to tell by eating them. Well I explained that I was not going to feed them to 60 people and take a chance on anyone getting sick. I explained that had it been my family we may have attempted to eat them but he must understand that when feeding other people that that is just not the best thing to try. He then got angry and stern and told me he just thinks i shouldn't shop there anymore and they are actually closing as they are retiring soon. WOW! Great service. I never raised my voice once, barely got to respond to anything he said and that's what i get told. If you chose to shop here because you have no issues that's totally fine but not fine for me, but please double check the dates, as in other meat stores that i have shopped at they are clearly marked when it is past the best before date and is usually frozen. This experience at this store has actually made me upset that a customer would get treated so poorly.

Always great stuff here!! I get all my steaks from here, and have never had a bad cut (even when I buy sirloin). Their Farmer's Sausage is my fave (and my kids fave), plus their lunches are great value.

Local family run butcher shop. Fresh meat and freezer specials. Great selection of in house cabbage rolls and pierogi. Regular takeout lunch items. Also carries Spingbank Cheeses. Does not take credit cards.

Good quality products and friendly service what a better places I've ever been.

Been shopping there for years and have had nothing but class service and product. I suggest it was one of the other fellinger's. Always fresh non steroid meat. Good job Kurt and Diana. Unfortunately they are no longer open as they have retired sad to see them go but well earned breast. Thank you for many years of good service and friendship.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I purchased Bison sausage last week to bring back to the US & when we went to use it the best before date was JULY - I called the owner & he REFUSES to do anything about it because he wants the product back but he won't pay for the shipping to get it back & says it isn't his fault we're in Florida & he says it's perfectly fine for him to sell meat that's past it's due date??? And that we should just eat it & see if it's ok because 'it looked fine to him'....are you kidding me?? What kind of health standards are these??? You sell people meat that could potentially be bad & think it's fine & then tell them to eat it & see if it's ok??? Wow!

Ive had no problems with shopping for kurk and dianne they treat there customers with respect so i dont care what other people say about them. I like them both

Best meat store in town

Bought the sour cabbage - cabbage rolls and their homemade tomato sauce. Both delicious and well worth it. While this is the only product I bought, I will be back to try a few other things they make in house.
