Solace Organic Spa

My partner and I did the evening spa ritual here earlier this month and it was the most amazing experience either of us have had. The facility itself is nestled in the woods, perfectly serene, and felt very private. Everything was so well thought out, the robes were cozy and the wellness tea was delicious. We added a charcuterie board and it was exquisite, beautifully curated with mostly local ingredients, and plenty of food for 2 people. We are from 2 provinces over but are already planning to go back if we find ourselves on Saltspring Island again.

A magical location in the woods and friendly staff made this an exceptional experience! The spa ritual was marvelously relaxing and invigorating - everything is provided for your private forest retreat into the hot tub, cold plunge, and sauna. I'm usually not so comfortable in regular saunas, but the infrared sauna was wonderfully therapeutic. The foot soaks and side by side Solace massages in a separate room were lovely. We appreciated the option to choose a combination of relaxation and deep tissue massage, for both stress/tension relief, nurturing injuries, and resetting the nervous system. I left feeling simultaneously buoyant and relaxed. Thank you Sarah & Orion for a very healing experience!

An exceptional experience as always. The facilities are always clean and well presented. And the staff are far more than proficient at doing the steps you would expect. They are reliably very welcoming and are often some of the most exceptional examples of people who live in the internal space that this facility helps promote.

I will admit, our booking process may not have gone smoothly, but all that melted away when we began our hydro-therapy circuit. The circuit is completely private, which is worth it in and of itself. Every detail is well thought out, from the well stocked ameneties in the heated shower house, to the tea, water and fruit in the relaxation area. The circuit in nestled among bamboo and tall trees and is a true forest retreat. The hot tub and sauna are so relaxing & the robes that were provided were luxurious and soft & allowed us to relax outdoors in damp bathing suits in the middle of February. The cold plunge is exhilerating and at 14 degress celsius, not the coldest I've experienced! If I lived on Salt Spring, I'd be here every day. The hydro-therapy circuit is a must on the island. The ability to book online would take it to the next level :)

We started off our Canada Day long weekend with a 1 hour massage in this relaxing spa! Right away as we stepped in, our senses were beckoned with aromatherapy. The ladies doing our massage were friendly and inviting. The massage itself was a 1 hour slice of heaven. It was hard to stay awake. After we were finished our service, the spa was transformed into our private little cabin in the forest. Between 5pm and 11am, we had full use of the infrared sauna, hot tub, spa sample products and the beautiful garden. During our 2 night stay, we saw deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife. It was lovely falling asleep to the sound of chatty frogs and waking up to the songs of birds. I’d definitely book a spa service here again and also stay a few nights.

An absolute oasis on an adorable island…service and hydrotherapy was to die for. Craniosacral therapy was so lovely - every little detail to help you exhale and relax are thought of. I felt held and nurtured. Thank you so much…I will be back!

This was absolutely one of the best spa experiences I've ever had! I have been to a private spa in Japan, but the extra treatments and services made it that much more special for my group. 2 of us had an hour to relax in the hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge (don't skip out on it!) while the other 2 went for their massages first. We enjoyed the quiet ambience of the forest and it was pure bliss. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the architecture and the spa design, so you can appreciate a few different views. I got the Solace facial soon after, which included a light massage for neck, shoulders and arms, and it was the most incredible feeling. As someone who has chronic acne and dry skin, my face was glowing and moisturized for the whole day and flare ups went down. I bought 2 skincare items later that day and they absolutely did the trick for me to keep my face hydrated for a long period of time (something very difficult for me to maintain until now). The staff were incredibly calm, friendly and professional at all times, and the facilities were very clean. We enjoyed the hot tea and fresh water throughout. I highly recommend you treat yourself to something special, there is no other place like it in BC!

This spa was incredible. Myself and 3 friends booked treatments and the evening spa ritual so we could have extra time doing the hydro cycle in the evening. From the moment we arrived it was so peaceful and beautiful. The heated tea lounge is so cute and has comfortable seating -- a few of us hung out there and read our books while others had treatments.Most of the beauty products were available to sample which was great, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. They even gave our group each a free lip balm which was a fun surprise!The facilities were super clean, warm, and inviting. Everything felt very luxurious -- they keep the washrooms very clean and also had fun products to sample in there as well. It was a lot of little things that added up to making it feel so luxurious and nice, including heated floors and a steam shower in the washroom, a sauna that could play whatever music you wanted, nice cups, tea, and spa water available, beautiful/cozy robes to wear, the foot mineral soak before our treatments, etc.As a full group, it was easier for the spa to have only one person pay, so this was a slight downside as it would've been nicer/easier for everyone to pay for their own treatments instead of one person paying for all 4 of us, but this was fairly minor and as long as you have the option of doing this it's not a big deal.We also chose to add a charcuterie board to our evening spa ritual and have the fire going, and it was absolutely amazing. It suggests to feed 2 but we all felt like it was enough for 4 of us to snack on, and the spa allowed us to bring some of our own snacks and drinks.Overall, a 10/10 experience. It's nestled in the most beautiful forest on Salt Spring Island and makes it worth the trip. I hope I get to come back soon!
