Horrific on every level. I have no idea how there can be any positive reviews. Something not normal about that.First, the smell was horrendous. Room smelled of old cigarette smoke and dirty bleach water... with a hint of mold. Soon realized it was indeed mold when I had an allergic reaction, so I wore my covid mask in desperation. Had I not been exhausted, I would have been out of there even if it had meant no refund and another room somewhere else. I even contemplated sleeping in the truck, but did not as I have a cat with me.Felt like I landed a lead role in Orange is the New Black.Then, room was dirty, as in loads of dust with hand trails. If you don't dust, you surely won't sanitize anything. I mean the smell alone told you that.One top sheet. No blanket. Only a top sheet and bed cover, which I quickly removed. The place was so dirty I could only imagine how long it had been since that thing was washed. I was cold, slept in clothing, and put my face on my hand to avoid pillows.No toilet paper holder! Nope. Must use your fingers and roll. Took me a few seconds to realize I was doing that with a used roll! Eww!Ice bucket no liner. I asked at the desk and was given a garbage bag. Yes, a garbage bag.The whole experience was, in truth, the worst of my life at a bad motel. This place wins.Plus, the manager initially was offering me a room with a toilet leak where I would need to dump the cup of water now and then. ShockingOh, I almost forgot about the giant spiders.In all truth, I slept with a covid mask to try to stop the mold smell a bit, and on my hand as I could not trust anything was properly clean there. I left at 3:30 a.m. I could not take it.UNFIT FOR HUMANS. Upon arrival to my destination, I am contacting health authorities. This should not be allowed. I would not stay there even if paid the price of the room. This is not appropriate.

Great place. Nice friendly staff. Proper stop along northern Ontario.

When you have to get off the highway & out of a snowstorm & you take the last room in town. Clean & comfortable, a little overpriced but beggers can't be choosers. My door had no lock. The bolt didn't line up. No coffee service(east of Manitoba).

The size of the room was good and the staff were friendly and helpful when problems were brought to their attention. However, we arrived late after a long day of driving to a room that looked like it was not cleaned and sheets with surface dirt that looked like food and make-up. We had to request all new sheets and make our beds before we could sleep. Bathroom fixtures were very old and hardly worked. Bathroom fan did not work. One garbage can in the bathroom and no extra kleenex outside of the bathroom. Mini-fridge also looked like it had not been cleaned and had bits of food in the freezer part. Chair was broken. Paint was peeling off the walls under the window. There was garbage under the bed from the previous people who stayed there. The beds gave no support and we continued our journey with aching bones from an uncomfortable sleep. The gym that is advertised on their web site is not in the motel, but rather in town somewhere. Your hotel key gives you free access to that 24 hour gym, but it wasn't within walking distance. Ultimately, they also took $20 off our bill as a courtesy for our inconvenience, which was nice of them, but not enough to convince us to stay there again.

We couldn't help but feel like we were in an old classroom, with the sounds of kids running up and down the halls, and studying hard in the rooms, in some kind of nostalgic, days gone by feeling. Was this once a school? Maybe even a high school at one time? Perhaps so, as it looks the part from both inside and out. But if it wasn't formerly a school, then it had to of been some kind of Government building at one time!?Friendly folks up here in the north country, but we all thought the place could use a facelift to give it that more welcoming atmosphere instead of it feeling like it's all business, head to the grindstone mentality!

The staff at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. We stayed in one of the pet friendly rooms. The decor was dated but very clean. The mattress was new and very comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.

Driving from Calgary my first stop was in Saskatchewan boarding Manitoba ( a different hotel) ..i wanted to make a little ground so stopped in ignace at this specific place FOR THE RESTAURANT... WHICH WAS CLOSED ... the website doesn't tell you and even upon booking which had to be done over the phone they didn't not tell me.... I thought the place in general needed a face lift. I rate this at least a 3 becuase it was still a clean place to stay and beds were ok as well. Staff were also nice. PS there was also no shampoo

Room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly. Would come again. Restaurant is closed. Great homemade food at Clooch’s Tavern.
