Unfortunately good things can be ruined by bad people.After confirming that we'd be playing the par 36 course and that they were wide open" for the day (in October)

Haven’t played this course in years and I won’t be back. I will say the starter and staff member at the clubhouse was very cordial and helpful. The course was in good shape when I played it about a month ago. Having played golf for many years one of the worse things you can do is have a Marshall that just parks his cart and just stares at you while you play a hole. My playing partner and I are mid handicappers and was keeping up with the group in front of us but this Marshall seemed like he wanted to show who was king of the castle. We felt rushed and this does not make for a fun experience. It’s too bad. Everything else about the course was pretty good (greens, tee boxes). But golf is a game of etiquette. Maybe the marshall should learn some.

Can't believe why there are bad reviews for this great golf club. I went there a month ago with my husband and mother, the golf club was maintained nicely and the staffs were absolutely bright and kind. As it was our first experience for this course, they explained very nicely about the golf course. We took Whistling Wind course, and it was very great walkable Par3 courses. I and my husband enjoyed the course as beginners, and my mother who played golf for a long time, she also agreed that the course is very good. Absolute five stars!!

Had a poor experience. 2 experienced golfers playing best ball with an inexperienced golfer each. Starter kept trying to get us to go to the executive course. He insulted me when I duffed my drive by saying I couldn't get off the tee box. Our 2 teams finished the round tied at 48 with only twosome around the 8-9 hole

I recently attended and also helped plan a baby’s shower that was held at this location this past Sunday and all I can say is I will never be going back. From setting up in the morning all the way until clean up afterwards, the event coordinator named Robin was absolutely rude and did not speak to any of us planners with any respect. I felt as if I was being yelled at like a child instead of communicated with as the adult I am.I understand there are rules when renting a facility but there is a professional way to apply those rules and she obviously hasn’t learned it. Robin took it upon herself to touch property that was not hers and damage it without caring. She told us we can’t use tape on the walls and began changing it to pins without being asked and ended up breaking and tangling our streamers. If she had manners and respect for all the work we put into those decorations, she would have asked us to change it ourselves as we did not ask her or want her to touch anything. She also had a problem with our fog (not smoke) machine which would not have set off any alarms because of multiple factors including the size of the room, fact that the door was open to the garden area and the amount of fog that was being released. She almost messed up the guest of honours entrance by plugging out the machine in front of everyone (which she broke because she unplugged it without giving me a chance to turn it off properly using the remote) Instead of touching equipment that is not hers, the proper thing to do was ask for it to be turned off. Multiple guest felt she was out of line when addressing certain issues and made people attending very uncomfortable. As a planner I felt as I was being watched like a hawk throughout the whole night. We all spoke to her respectfully and we’re not given the same in return. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I won't be coming back. Played with my parents and their friends, all of them over 70. Got harrassed by a couple driving by yelling in a cart for playing to slow. Then the marshall wouldn't stop following us, without talking to us, just tracking our every shot. Very stressful, felt very rushed. We didn't even write our scores down. Our time.... finished round in 2hrs. Mind you, the course was not busy and this was a tuesday 1pm tee off.

I just had an event there Sept 4, 2022, I was the event planner for the baby shower. The event was beautiful! Robin was absolutely TERRIBLE, which is the wedding/event coordinator at Carruthers. From the very beginning of set up at 10am she was RUDE. We were setting up and she was looking through our boxes of decorations without asking! We put up decorations with tape and she told us we can’t use tape, which is fine , but starts taking them down on her own behalf. She should have just told us to take them down and use tabs. Instead she does it her self and puts it up slanted and wrong! She was watching us like a hawk 24 7, making us feel very uncomfortable. Next we had a fog machine . Which is in many event spaces! We turned it on not even for 10 seconds , it was only for the entrance of the mother to be. Everyone’s standing up waiting for her to walk in. She goes in front and runs and plugs out the fog machine , in front of everyone ( How embarrassing). She opens the door like there’s a fire, instead of saying can you turn off the machine( which doesn’t set off alarms and was only on for 10 seconds ). She breaks the machine and messes up the entrance ! Secondly she yells at a guest in the parking lot to not bring a mix drink in the building . She runs to her car!! Starts screaming . Instead of telling her , these aren’t allowed or telling me to tell the guest, she yells at her and I watched the whole thing. Lastly ! At 7:05 when guest are still there ! (It ends at 7) She starts taking off the seat covers and table covers ... ROBIN HAS NO MANNERS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The mother to be told me she felt very uncomfortable at the end of the night because of her. Robins time has past, you need to hire someone who has customer service or knows how to TALK TO PEOPLE. Also I did not know when booking the room I was booking Robin to be in the party THE WHOLE TIME with her RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Robin needs to work somewhere where there is no interaction with people. Throughout the whole party my guest kept telling me how rude she was . She needs to go through customer service training or retire!

Hidden gem!! 2 hour, 9 hole championship golf course and 1hour, 9 hole par 3 course.Both courses are well maintained and very challenging. The greens are on the smaller size and well protected either by sand and/or ponds. The staff are very friendly and professional.

Greens are in good condition! Staff is welcoming and helpful! Played the executive course on a Sunday, it’s a fun course to practice your short game and can get through quickly. Then played the championship course on Monday, which is a great course and very well kept. It was 33 degrees out today and the Marshall was out driving around offering people ice cold water which was very much appreciated! Will definitely play here again!

I just attended a baby shower over the weekend and the host, Robin, was absolutely terrible. Very disrespectful to the guests and basically was attacking the hosts on what to do and what not to do. She wasn’t once friendly and attacked the guests basically. I will never come there to host or even attend an event there. Extremely disappointed as the baby shower was absolutely beautiful but with Robin as a host made it very difficult to enjoy every moment of it.
