I love Japanese food but was disappointed with the food here. Majority of items are on the pricier side, which is okay if the food is worth it, but I unfortunately did not like the food at all.I had the beef and onion katsu don. The bowl appears like a good size for $15.50 pre tax, but you find out later on that it's mostly rice and onion and barely any beef.The katsu don also tasted very bland. Katsu don is supposed to have a sweetness to it. Was very disappointed with my meal.My friend had one of the rolls but it looked like it was mostly rice. She also had the takoyaki which was maybe the only thing that we liked.Server was very nice though. I would have liked it if the food came out together instead of my friend getting all of her food before me because I had to sit and wait. It was awkward watching her eat!

A bit pricey, presentation is good and food was served really fast. Taste is good, it’s actually appetizing.Serving for robatas are small, specially for the price. I love the attentiveness of the servers.Oyster motoyaki was on point- really good.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!It is a bit hidden, you go to the doors and elevators which brings u upstairs to the hallway.The oysters are delicious, my fav dish here.Everything tasted generic so for the price I wouldn’t really recommend it.Dishes I got:Oysters: must get here, tastes delicous and they pre seasoned it for uSalmon sashimi carpaccio: salmon wasn’t fresh, tasted bland. Salad has no dressings. Avocado didn’t really match the salmon carpaccioTatare toro: tasted bland too, chunks were all different size, usually ur would be evenly chopped so each bite would taste balanced. Some were big chunksMochi seaweed: unique and delicious, Friend Mochi.9 set taster:All of it tasted bad or generic, wouldn’t get this. It’s just pretty to look atCustomer service is amazing and they were kind and sweet. Wished their food quality and dishes were better forThe price of it.Either lower prices or change the menu to match the price

Hidden gem !!! Lovely …really very Japanese restaurant …. Excellent service offered by Sarah and Frank the manager , so diligent and dedicated!!!Great moments, excellent Japanese culinary, great portions, very affordable, huge variety in the menu ,…..lovely ambience …. Fast service and Frank is everywhere helping about the service …. We have to go back again!!!! ….. it is really a great spot for Japanese culinary …. Even desserts are so delicious …I had ice cream as a plus !!!!!

Stopped in for happy hour and had an amazing experience. The prices are very good and way cheaper then the Brentwood food court and the quality is way higher. Great selection of Japanese beer for $3-4. The service is subperb and the food came out quickly. Great location and super easy to find if you can read signs. Just right upstairs from Earls. Great ambiance. We got the golden California off the happy hour menu and really enjoyed it! Will definitely recommend to friends and come back!

I really enjoy their fast service, high quality of ingredients, and their clean and neat decor. They have the best eel that I have tasted so far in Vancouver. It’s just a very clean flavour. If you like eel, I’d recommend you try it here at least once.I would recommend the Mentaiko Yaki Udon, which is a blend of chewy and crispy with a wonderful smokey flavour. Be mindful that portion sizes are on the smaller size, but make up for it in taste and quality.

This is a newer sushi joint that opened at The Amazing Brentwood. It can be a bit tricky to describe how to find it to people who haven’t been there before. Nice interior, ample space and seating. Friendly service, never needed to ask for a water refill, and tea was great. Now, for the main attraction: the sushi was really good. Most standard rolls are available but there are some playful variations that change things up a bit. Ingredients taste fresh, and rolls are constructed with attention to detail. I took two sets of out of town guests here and they were both impressed. Was disappointed that their robot server didn’t really seem to do anything. I swear I saw a video on social media of it actually working before…
