Delicious food and fantastic service! I ordered the tempura shrimp roll and the black dragon roll. It did not disappoint.

We ordered a shrimps and veggie tempura combo, Philly rolls and the mega combo. Everything was great. Servers were great too and also took reservation over phone.

This was hands down the most horrific sushi I've eaten in Ottawa. The Omakese sushi / nigiri option was served with 3 pieces of fish that were CLEARLY dried out/freezer burn. They couldn't be salvaged. The miso soup had near-rotten and curdled (thing it's called). The 'specialty' roll - Red Dragon - two pieces tasted so horrific the rest was left for the trash. The 'tuna' on top impacted the rest of the somewhat salvageable shrimp tempura in the centre that it couldn't be eaten. The staff in the kitchen were visible from the table EATING over others meals before they were served.Seating and arrangement makes this place best served for takeout, but for whom that wants to eat so unpalatable things I am not sure.We were greeted quickly, and orders taken in reasonable time frame. Quality check was done after idling for over 15 minutes before committing to eat out of hunger - it's edible - it's just not good.If you want to try real sushi, order at Shinka. #notanad I tried this location in passing, and regret it all.

I recently visited Sushi 88 and I was amazed by the deliciousness of their sushi. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were top notch, and I could tell that they take great care in preparing their dishes. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious sushi experience!

I have struggled to find really good sushi in Ottawa but I think I finally found it. It wasn't the cheapest, but the quality in fish was exceptional. I ordered the chef special and it was the first time I've ever enjoyed octopus or surf clam. I'm typically not a big fan of shrimp but that was also delicious. I was impressed with the portions and the garnish that accompanied the nigiri pieces. The place was clean, but small, which was really nice. Fantastic sushi chef!

May 2022Second time coming this year. Quality of food and service are consistent. This time, additionally to the Sweet potato frenzy and Kamikaze, we really enjoyed the 88 sushi roll and the kiwi twist. Will return to try more soon!--March 2022Excellent, delicious sushi, very friendly staff, clean restaurant & relaxed atmosphere.I highly recommend the Sweet potato frenzy, Kamikaze, Veggie delight & Smoked salmon.

Overall a good option for fair priced sushi in downtown ottawa, but lately in our party trays (we used to buy a P4 about once a month during the shutdowns) we have noticed the sashimi getting a little smaller, and the rice getting a little bigger. I hope the sushi chef didn’t change as previously it was always prepared more authentically and less T&T style. I would still highly recommend this place but please don’t fall into mediocrity.
