I have stayed at 3 and 4 star hotels that were completely private and i did not enjoy myself and experience over all joy and happiness with those establishments guest communities ,as I did at this simple well established cottage home within the city. Every listing on online booking services should have a section where I can just use 1 word to describe my stay, flight, service purchase or rental etc, the word I would use for this listing is happy" This is all the host wants to hear and if they hear anything else

Misleading price... actually $40 cleaning fee... yowzer... and many reviews claim its not clean!

AVOID. This is the dirtiest room I’ve ever stay at, there was dust everywhere! never-mind the washrooms and the kitchen that were disgusting. When we first arrived there and noticed that the TV wasn’t working, then the room was terribly hot, no key to lock your belongings, we texted the owner and he replied to me saying that BC government doesn’t allow to provide keys for the rooms which is a lie since as frequent traveller I am aware of my rights, then we found the key in the room. This is a budget stay but there’s basics it doesn’t matter how much you pay - you should expect a place to be clean and feel safe to leave your belongings at. I had to change my socks every time I walk at the house, by the way we where told to remove our shoes when there were people walking with shoes. I don’t usually stay at apartments because of this but it is not worth the price.

Its a old house in a quiet neibourhood, room ok but kitchen really dirty.. impossible to cook, all dishes must be clean before use, we saw a dead bug in the fridge.. washroom ok, nice garden however

For the price point and convenience of being close to a bus stop that takes you directly to the Marine Drive transit station its a good deal

We stayed for a couple of days at Payman’s home. The place is next to the train station Canada line and easy access for public transportation . Easy access from behind to the place. We had a room in the basement with a shared space. For the price we paid it was good. I would add a couple of mats at the entrance and washrooms and be careful regarding the cleaning while people are coming and leaving this regarding the shared space.
