I rang from the UK as we were concerned about our son living there in vancouver, the lady I dealt with was understanding and helpful, even though she said they were unable to help other than guide us to the police but did say if we need more help to re- contact them .

Would give zero stars if I could. Have issue in Canada with local health board and tried to see if any consular assistance or advice was available. Short answer - no ! They suggested asking the local health board (Hello ! They're ignoring me - which is why I'm calling you...). Their final idea was that I, a UK citizen having issues in Canada, contact the Canadian embassy in the UK !!!!!Is this what I pay my taxes for ?
