About the Business
Card's Appliances | Card's Appliances and Televisions has been in business since February 12, 1968. It has been and continues to be a family run operation. As a result of always being hands on we continue to be able to offer brand name prodcts, competitive pricing, excellent service and knowlegeable staff - which enables us to offer a package we believe is second to none. Stocking brand name products with an eye out for new manufacturers and new products will continue to drive our business. The core of our business is white goods (refrigerators, stoves - electric and gas, dishwashers, washers, dryers and freezers) and related kitchen products. We also stock televisions, vacuums and central vac systems and clean water products such as, ultra violet bacteria removers, reverse osmosis systems and water softners.Card's also sells, electric and gas fireplaces. We arrange for installation of all the products we sell and of course offer package prices on two or more units. More often than not delivery is free of charge, as is hook-up. It is an honour to have served our customers for the past 37 years, and it is our intention to continue doing so.

We recently purchased a new water softener from Card's and the entire process was great. The salesperson was able to make recommendations, the unit was reasonably priced, and they were able to install it 3 days after purchase (shoutout to Bruce!).

The salesperson at Card's (Brian) was very helpful about suggesting an appliance, but unfortunately the installer they recommended was absolutely unacceptable. Completely lacking the necessary skills to remove the old and install the new slide-in oven. Also caused a propane leak which necessitated an emergency call to a certified gas technician to fix. In addition, Card's installer hard-wired the new oven without first checking to ensure that it fit properly in the cabinet - who does that?! The oven had to be disconnected and returned to Card's. So I'm out $400 - $200 for the installer's time and $200 for the gas technician visit, with absolutely nothing to show for it. Card's was very understanding about providing a full refund and delivering a subsequent unit that did fit (I used my own installer the second time) but did not apologize for sending me a sub-standard installer or offer any refund on his fee. So 3 stars - nice unit(s) at a reasonable price, but terrible recommendation for the installer. Beware who they send!

Cards delivered Whirlpool washer & dryer this week. Professional & courteous delivery men (with masks) resolved challenging installation due to cramped area. Provided new hoses & filed our warranty applications. Great service that we've come to count on since moving to town in 1990. Many thanks Cards!

Say what you want regarding big box appliance stores. Smaller, hometown stores such as Card’s Appliance has its merits. We have purchased appliances for several kitchens as well as washer and dryer combinations from them over the years. They matched the advertised sales prices as well as delivered and installed each - sometimes the very same day. They register each appliance on behalf of their costumers and add a second year warranty at no additional charge. Their crews are absolutely polite and professional. Their local sub-contractors are equally exceptional. We shall remain loyal to Card’s in the year’s ahead.

I believe they tell you the truth without the sales pitch. Plus if there is a problem they offer their own extended warranty of the products they sell. In more than 10 years I’ve never had one problem.Their installation teams are awesome as well. Really go above and beyond to ensure you are happy.

I just purchased an induction range from Card's (this is my second appliance purchase from these folks). Very knowledgeable staff who are great at helping customers picking the best appliance for their needs. The range I purchased was on sale at 3 big box stores and Card's price was still $200 cheaper than the sale price elsewhere, and this was without haggling. I will definitely purchase from them again.

My family has been buying from Cards for years, including my grandmother, my mother and now myself.The customer service is amazing. Its a family owned store that stands behind their products. We have never had an issue with any of our appliances purchased here (newest ones being our freezer, washer and dryer) and the staff are always ready to answer our questions and give us a good price.Highly recommended!
