They try hard to show a big selection of Asian, particularly Chinese, food items. Unfortunately the space was not that big. We were there for only a short stay to pick 2 items but must state that the lady cashier was really friendly.

My actual rate is 0. Employees always thinking you’re stealing something. I went in and did a quick browse at the fish section. On my way out, I heard the cashier lady saying something in their language as if I stole something. Good thing I have my receipt with me, as I was grabbing my receipt the lady and the other guy forcefully open my grocery bag to see what’s inside. Once they realized that all my groceries were from the other store, they just walked away without even apologizing. Crazy AF!!

New Empire supermarket is a one-stop shop for Asian groceries. Its staff is friendly, and the product price is reasonable.

Popular shopping area, therefore finding a parking lot is not easy. A lot of vehicles waiting for parking that jammed the exit.

Many items at this store are very reasonably priced. Quality of fruits, vegetables, and fresh meats is also very good.Parking is free, the parking lot is busy, and people fight over parking spots here regularly -- sometimes they even get out of their cars to tell at each other in Chinese (usually Mandarin or Cantonese), and just last weekend I saw a woman shaking her pink stuffed teddy bear while yelling at another driver who stuck his middle finger in her face (no physical contact occurred, although they got quite close to each other).

New 2000 Supermarket - BBQ meat stall inside.They're offering a 10% discount card right now. The redemption value is as much as you spent, so in my case $102.40(despite my receipt totalling $108.04; their math was bad).So next time you buy bbq meat, they will give you 10% off your purchase until you use up $102.40 in discount. Essentially I would need to spend just over $1000 to use it all up.Flavour is very good, on the saltier side but much better than Landmark. For the love of God people, stop going to Landmark BBQ at Continental mall.I bought 4lbs roast pork, 2lbs bbq pork and 1 duck. They cut the bbq pork thin which I like and same with the roast pork.The BBQ duck went up in price by $5 (from $26.99) since I last bought from here on March 7.

Had some issues while shopping there, I call and talked to a cashier and leave a message for the manager named Tony to call me back, still waiting for that call after 3 weeks.

They have some good deals on dry package items and frozen items. Service has always been pretty friendly.

Good supermarket, fresh and selected products, Cantonese fav. Produce.
