I've taken several courses with UBC ExL - Italian, and many writing courses and One Day@UBC. The instructors are passionate about their subjects and well organized. The most surprising thing for me is the online courses where there are no live classes felt very interactive and engaging, due to the dynamic content and the instructor interaction.
